I had problems at first too, so I hit up Leon and he gave me a "special" account that had a very nice username.
Been using that for a month now and it seems like it's pretty much unshaped for some reason. Just email support asking for new logins and see what happens.

Positive feedback;

32GB since 12:00:01 this morning. Will leave it running full throttle to get these Steam and Origin stuff out of the way for the next busy week.
 
Each ISP have different troubleshooting techniques. Im afraid I cannot comment on how the other ISP's handle their support processes.

I have however noted that you are currently unhappy with at least one of the ISP's you have listed, based on their feedback thread?

If you must know, I was with Openweb, then moved to Webafrica when they launched their first uncapped which fell over, then moved to Afrihost where everything was peachy pre-MTN, been with Plugg since Nov without a sniffle of dealing with "support".

Anyway, I'm done fighting/trolling now ;)

Telkom seems to not release my account when I reboot so I can't login for several minutes. Any idea on how this can be fixed?

MrBeep can I get a test 2mb account uncapped account as I am struggling on my 2mb business account
 
MrBeep something is wrong with the account.

It was full speed up until 3pm, then it stayed between 250KB/s and 350KB/s so i left it as i assumed shaping was on.
But its after five and its still like this on all protocols.

I was given a new alternate routing yesterday which helped for about 30 minutes before it went back to low speeds.

Any advice?
 
What happened to the gold uncapped unshaped accounts? Did I miss a post where they were removed from your site?
 
Hello Mybroadband Readers,

I would just like to make you all aware of the following.

I've had an incident where I have bought a Gold Unshaped Uncapped 4MB line for R899 from OpenWeb ISP, I've had this account for some time but recently noticed my line speed has dropped from 4MB to 10kbs during the day from 08:00AM till 17:00PM. I queried this with them & was told there is contention and problems with my ADSL line. I have proved that I am being shaped as I have another ISP and when changing over my line speed is perfectly fine. There isn't a problem with my line at all. On OpenWeb's website they advertised a package for the Gold Unshaped Uncapped saying you will have FULL SPEED ACCESS ALL DAY. After my query was sent thru, they changed their website & that package is no longer available, it has been changed within a matter of a few hours as I took a screen dump of the package offerings. I am being billed for a full speed access line but not getting what I am paying for. The CEO, Keoma has sent me an email advising he will be suspending my service from OpenWeb but I am paying my service and have not missed a payment. I would not recommend using OpenWeb as an ISP as you don't get the service you are paying for and when querying you are told that there is a problem on your side. They blatantly lie to their clients. I am laying a complaint against them with proof with the Customer Protection Act.
 
After my e-mail to the CEO, they have started removing the Account Details and changed the wording on their site.

Shocking!!
 
What happened to the gold uncapped unshaped accounts? Did I miss a post where they were removed from your site?

The only explanation I can think is, that these accounts are flawed in the system currently, and they have taken them off temporarily to prevent people from purchasing them until they have addressed the issues. If not I don't know :whistle:
