Have you tried using a different router? We have not received any other complaints this weekend, thus there are no general issues.

Just so I don't use this thread solely for complaining, my Gold account has been outstanding day and night for the last week or so now. (touch wood! :))
 
I am puzzled why Openweb are keeping on sending me invoices 10 months after I left :confused:
 
It seems my issues have been resolved as of this morning, so maybe it was just congestion issues on our exchange here in Stellenbosch.

I heard from a colleague that called your offices to enquire about your products that the "FREE Hotspot Access" add-on on all your uncapped accounts is limited to a 1GB CAP

That true ?
 
Anyone else in Cape Town being limited to 50KB/s as well? I'm getting these speeds both internationally and locally, but my Afrihost account is doing 200KB/s.

This is on the Gamers King 2Mb account.
 
This is correct. The limits are as follows on Wifi:

384k - 384Mb
512k - 512MB
1Mbps and up: 1GB

Reset on the first of each month

Logged a ticket for this but is anyone else experiencing high latencies on the DOTA 2 SA server? Mine's consistently high during the evenings.

Whenever I want to upgrade to this someone always has an issue. Very tempted though.
 
I'm also in CPT and peaking at about 75kb/s (combined between a browser download and a download manager), even with downloads off the wife kept on complaining her farmville keeps disconnecting...

Not sure what's going on?

Has to be one of those days, I doubt this happens all the time? Or does it?

I notice it's been slowing down in the last few days (200kb/s or so max, rather than the 'normal' 400kb/s or so after 7pm), thought Openweb was routing 'evening' traffic to the gamer accounts, since it seemed to speed up after 10pm or so, but now it's quite a bit after 10 and still quite slow (65kb/s currently, same downloads).

Maxed out my 2MB all yesterday evening (NNTP). On Gold btw.
 
Also been noticing and experiencing this lately :(

The Western Cape region is busier than normal, thus shaping will be applied until it quietens down.

Please remember, shaping is dynamic. We do not change anything, the system adapts dynamically to available capacity.
