I must admit that of all the service providers I have used, Openweb's customer service has by far been the best. Which I know is contrary to others' experiences, but I have had nothing but sublime service from Keoma and his team, specifically Leon and Leoni.

They have gone the extra mile to ensure that I get the service they have advertised to me and it is a welcomed experience.

I doff my hat to the Openweb support team.

This, on my 2MB line, which happens to be the fastest I can achieve with my line, considering the distance from the exchange...

The network is currently completely unshaped.

Any slow speeds are not network or account related. Kindly call Telkom on 10210 to further troubleshoot, or email [email protected]

Gooday Mr Beep

Hope you see this as i do not think i need to open a new thread. My ADSL line has been idling along all day today at below 180 k/s. My line is with webafrica and when i called them they said something about a SAT 3 cable outage. Could that be why my downolads are so slow today ??

regards

Rob McColl

MrBEEP

Just a quick shut out to you and your team, been streaming the rugby since 5pm without so much as one skipped frame(None Monochoice stream by the way)

Keep up the excellent work!

Anyone else experiencing slow torrent speeds today? Usually download at 90kbps, today it has been less than 30. Browsing is fine and so is streaming.

Just wanna mention while my wallet has suffered to its full extent because of this steam sale, my internet has been absolutely flying all weekend, downloading at close to max speed, all games purchased so far have been completed at great speed, but the sale continues, Thank you MrBeep and the crew :D

Looks more like throttling, facebook open first page very slowly, and when you scroll down, new content dows not get loaded, beeld, M&G, Telkom etc loads very slowly.

Something is wrong! It is not the line, FNB Connect test works 100%.

What is really funny is that a sites will load fast, and the next moment it is dead slow. gmail will work on and off thru the day

when i experienced this i remembered all the guys complaining about google taking ages to load.

on saturday afternoon i wanted to run a google search on the laptop. initially i thought it was the queue that was blocking the loading. i paused all activities and STILL couldnt load the damn google search page on the laptop. when i tried on the phone wia wifi it was almost instant. dont know if its related to all the google issues experienced lately by other users. but it was rather damn irritating nonetheless.

and no i didnt log a ticket since everything else was working as required. dont want to fsuck everything else up because of my irritation with google on the laptop. besides this the rabid dog is still wild!!

Sloooooooooooooooooooooow speeds all over! Had to wait about 2 minutes for mybb to open, Still waiting for beeld to open, going for +- 5 minutes, it finally stops, with half the page there. Can't remote desktop, just ties out. Took 30 minutes to download a 1meg mail attachment. On FNB Connect it took 5 seconds. This reminds me of the good old days when Chilli ISP started their uncapped service, thing were flying, until they dumped too many users onto their line, and down went the speed and the company.

Tested my line with 2 other ISPs, they are flying. ?????

Have to say. Office hours shaping has been very bad lately. It never used to be like this. Now I'm lucky to get more than 1/4 my line speed on NNTP, where it used to be full line speed 24/7. Oh well....

More like Office hours throttling:mad:

Mr Beep

Could you please test my line from your side? When I had the trial account I never had any problems but as soon as I went onto the permanent account I am now forced to manually reboot my router(which is brand new) as the connection drops every 20min. This makes online gaming impossible. I am trying to figure out if its the line or account please.

+1. :(

Any comment, MrBeep? If this is due to an influx of users due to specials etc, has there been the requisite increase in capacity?
