moved to you guys from WA on the 1st of August, the reason for this was WA throttled their uncapped accounts to 25% of the actual speeds during office hours, and to my shock i get home yesterday at 14:00 and my 4Mps line speed on speedtest.net was on avg 1.25Mps the whole afternoon, but round about 17:00 it got all back to between 4Mps and 5 Mps?

WA with IS - OW with IS, shame thing for both ISP's 25% on uncapped during office hours?

According to the this forum a couple of people had issues yesterday, but will keep and eye on it next week, and if i get those 25% speeds again i would like someone to have a look at the line for me.

Thanks

That is some terrible typing skeelz...

Well...depending on what you were trying to do shaping during office hours of http download and p2p protocols are standard practice for all ISP's I believe. If your browsing, youtubing etc were affected then there would be a problem...otherwise...pretty normal.

Try almost 20% with NNTP on Silver. This account should have many stars, since I dialed back A LOT on downloading 24/7.

So got a test account standard for a week and it was great, also got a gold test account to compare but the standard was good at streaming etc so jumped on the standard 8mb special and the experience is not remotely the same. I'm being shaped with my streaming. Ok so I'm quite disappointed at this obviously so. Ok now I want to upgrade to the Gold Leon special. Would this be an upgrade? The terms say current users can't cancel their package to get one of the specials but this is not canceling the package this is an upgrade. On day 2 as the test account and this account is not giving me the same experience.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

Gold is definitely better than standard. What is your line speed? Even the 6Meg Gold is good.

10mb line.
Yeah thats what I figured just upgrading but now I'm not sure if I just go via the order process that I can do this.
Unless I order the 6mb and then cancel the other but it will mean paying for both for 2 months cause of the calender month thing.
I'm pretty bummed that the trail account never gave ANY sign of slowness etc and now basically day 1 into the actual account I can feel the diff. This is worse than what I came from in terms of streaming.
I'd seriously just like to get the Gold account though.
What do you reckon my options are?

As far as I understand; you can 'upgrade' to a higher package if that package costs more per month than the one you are currently on. (You cannot go from one account to a better one, if the better one costs less than the one you are currently one) - if that makes sense.

MrBEEP, is this true? If I am on the 10Mbit Gamers, can I "upgrade" to the 10Mbit Gold then? I understood it as you have to CANCEL your old one before getting the new one.

Do I then contact support to do this? or is there a way of doing it on my own through the website?

Yup would also want to know what the process is. I'll be upgrading as it's a better package I want to go to.
