The whole network feels slow today. Downloads running at half speed, Youtube having trouble buffering at 360p on a 1mb line, sites taking longer than normal to open, etc.

Sort of related. Is there any way to move your current account to a Promotional package.

Or is it for new accounts only.
If so, you should look into giving these(or any) special options to your current customers.
Will be an industry first tbh :P

Not complaining, just tired of getting shafted by multiple companies.
Cell companies do it as well, brand/customer loyalty gets you no where these days.

if its a better package you can move but you pay the difference. the 'free' thing is for new customers.
 
Account: 1MB Gamers King

Performance after hours is fantastic. During normal business hours, absolutely horrendous. During the day, youtube sometimes gets 10-15kb max, websites take ages to load. I've been trying to download my GMAIL via outlook, total mails of 303kb and its prob taken more than 10-15 min to download.

SARS website has been loading for more than 30 min. Openweb main website also takes a few minutes to load. It just seems like the total bandwidth for everything just drops to almost nothing during the day.

I play Dayz and use DayZ Commander to connect to servers. However due to the lack of bandwidth, Dayz Commander cannot synchronise my game version with the master servers, which means I cannot join servers even if I have the correct version.

I swapped to my Mweb account (1GB now after cancelling uncapped) and everything went back up to full speed immediately, so it is definately an OpenWeb specific issue.

As I said, at night it's brilliant but I barely have internet during the day now.

I actually have no problem with torrent shaping/throttling during the day, but when normal websites/browsing take ages to load (and nothing else is hogging bandwidth) that just isn't what it should be.

I've created a support ticket, so hopefully this will get resolved soon.

Im also having huge issues with the Gamers King account , very slow browsing during office hours ( less than 30kbps) and there is no way gaming traffic is prioritised , DOTA is impossible to play before 6 pm .

Edit : ( I think the reason i cant play dota is that there simply isn't enough bandwidth to play , at 21 kbps its probably the issue )

The Gamers King account sucks sweaty b@lls most of the time during the day.

Can't even have a nice chill-out, relaxing PS3 killing spree on a Friday afternoon.

Problem is, even the Gold accounts are complaining a lot. So can't even upgrade as a certified fix.

The intention of Gamers King is not to suck sweaty balls.

It has been setup to rather play with balls, guns etc via your online gaming platforms.

While i have sent my issue through to support@openweb , there really seems to be an issue with these accounts with so many having the same experience.
