Still shaped. Looks like unshaped weekends are a thing of the past as well. Already switched off for 30 minutes. Hitting 86KB/s on nntp with nothing else running.
 
Hey guys

Just got me a vanilla 10mbit account, i can barley crack over 5mbit.
From reading this thread i assume tons of shaping is going on even over the weekends?
 
There must be a network issue. They're usually pretty good over the weekends...

Most of the mass load has cleared, but there is still some shaping about.

Things are looking ALOT better now though. We have also submitted an order for more capacity which will be implemented soon :)

Oh god in heaven. Your 5gig downloads must have taken 3 or 4 minutes longer. The horror, John. The absolute horror... :D
 
John, that pic looks just like 'ol Grandma's freshly baked Apple Pie! :) OW's Network status icon is still set to orange, but I'm sure they will clear it when they absolutely sure when traffic and capacity is fine.

browsing and download are both very slow that is for sure.Usually not bad at weekends but this weekend is not so good. IS shapes badly:-(.
hey Mr Beep!!! would you also upgrade our data package free of charge after telkom speed upgrade?:-)

Kindly email [email protected] so that we can investigate.

Telkom have only announced their speed upgrades on Friday. We will asses the situation and advise as soon as we have done the sums.

Naturally, they will only be reducing the IPC cost by 8%, yet doubling the client speeds, meaning that it leaves us with a 92% average extra monthly cost if we simply upgrade the speeds at no extra charge.

Of course OpenWeb will always offer a good deal to our clients.

Speed Bursting is a thing too! :D

Like having 1&2Mbs Burst to 4Mbs and 4Mbs Burst to 10Mbs when the load is low
