@MrBeep: FYI...at exactly 00:32 my account went from perfectly fine to perfectly dead. Backup ISP is fine though.

Anyway...time to go to bed. I'm sure it'll have sorted itself out by tomorrow morning.

My account seems to be OK except for the fact that I'm getting a 500 internal server error when I try to access youtube...

Same here.

Same thing happened to me. Same time...

How are the speeds still so bad at 2am? Tried my still active MWEB (uncapped) and Afrihost (capped) accounts and no problems. But Openweb sitting at 20KBps http downloads, and less than 10KBps for torrents and nzbs. Youtube can't even watch a whole video. 4 meg line barely at dial up speed :(

On the mtn network by the way

Get it together guys, please. R738 per month is a lot of money for dial-up.

I had extremely slow internet yesterday too, both on mweb and Openweb. Called telkom in the morning and they told me there was a problem with my exchange. I got a call from the technician later that said there is not much he can do as there is probably line congestion at my exchange. After I spoke to him my internet just went to a crawl (dial up speed) and eventually stopped working altogether, mweb still worked but was just as slow. I called telkom back last night and was told that they are going to upgrade my exchange today and I should wait to see if that fixes anything. I am in the Randpark Ridge area.

Not sure if I am making sense, still drinking my first Cup of coffee here.

I'm about to yank my stuff out of the wall. 6:25 I have 0KB/s on nzb.

Browsing works perfectly. Shaping all night?

I really need to get me a backup thing to check stuff. How's performance for you all? Shaped all night as well?

No, it is not shaping. It's called throttling.
My download speeds have been below 30KB/s all night.

Same issue here. Browsing is fine but streaming & downloading an absolute nightmare. Tried my Afrihost account & everything works fine. I'm lucky if I get over 10kB/s on downloads.
