Daytime shaping has been extreme for 2 weeks now and I've seen this before from IS in the Oct/Nov months. Traditionally, things improve after 5pm. I think the best option is 10gb capped + uncapped account. I think OpenWeb should look at bundling capped accounts with uncapped accounts even if it will cost more.

i just got downaload that thing where i can download .nbz files

now here do i can that files?

are they free?,i see some sites ask money permonth,
i am connected to IS newserver, now where can i get local files for free?

edit: i found this
https://www.oznzb.com

does it matter if its local or not

Search on Mybb. There are dedicated threads to help you set up.

What gives?

Here's just a quick kudos to the guys at Openweb. Been with them now for a while after going through Axxess, Mweb and Afrihost. They are quite simply for me the best ISP in SA at the moment. I download a lot of things and they are transparent with their shaping, quick with their support and very reliable. One very happy Openweb customer here.

For those of you on everyday uncapped, do you also experience unshaped weekends and importantly, evenings? I'm weighing up my options here between the gold 4Mb and the 2Mb everyday accounts. Since my line was upgraded to 4Mb I can only sync at around 2750, so I'm unlikely to really derive the full benefit of paying R600 odd Rand per month for the gold. In fact I'm struggling to justify this sort of spend when other ISPs are offering 4Mb at far lower prices.

I am however a very loyal customer and I absolutely don't want to leave Openweb at all, so the everyday uncapped is looking the more suitable option. I'm currently on 2Mb gold uncapped so I'm trying to determine whether I might even have a better experience staying on 2Mb gold uncapped, or moving to 2.75Mb everyday uncapped, effectively. I must admit, the speed difference is notable and has improved a lot of things for me...

My username just stopped working I can not get a connection...sitting on back account... :(

@DJ, why not move to Gamer's Bling 4mb first? Since Gamer's Bling 4MB is R396 and Original Gold 2MB is R398.

Considering TCP overheads, you're probably best sticking to your Gold 2meg.

Well, partly because I have no idea what that account is, and I don't game at all. I'd rather have higher pings and better streaming and download speeds than anything else...
