If the issue is that your modem will not authenticate the account, the issue is most likely a modem issue as I've had problems with my high end 9Netgear refusing to authenticate while my Tenda modem I received from OW works brilliantly. How about doing some diagnostics and tests on your end before going nuts on a public forum. You state the issue has been around since April? I doubt that you would even still be a OW client if this was the case as your impatience reflects on your linguistic ability.

I have the same issue it takes my router a good 15min to authenticate. For me its not my router as webafrica who IS aswell authenticates quick and so does afrihost.

So I should repeatedly tell them I've done multiple tracerts and it points to an exchange congestion, please fix it!?

Edit: Have reported a fault online so far.. (closest option was 'Intermittent Service')

Found the problem. My Netgear router would attempt to auth and fail, then wait 10 minutes, then attempt to auth again. The second time it works.

My Tenda would try and auth once every second. So this is why it appeared to be modem issue, when it was just the frequency of attempts.

This did not appear to happen to my Afrihost or secondary OW logins at first, but after being connected to it for an extended period, the issue arose. Seems like it's Telkom or something.

Run traceroutes in the early morning when you wake up, when you immediately get home and just before you go to bed. Ensure no downloads or uploads are running and try to disable Wireless on your router when running the traceroutes.

Fixed mine by changing my username from @openweb.co.za back to @mynetwork.co.za now it authenticates 1 min after the line syncs and is at full speed :)

When the technician calls you tell him your ISP indicates exchange congestion. Just tell him it happens 24/7. Even if you tell him it happens in the day or at night. he will fix it regardless of time :)

Gamers King .... But the weekend was good - I have not had as great an OW connection as this weekend.... But 3 good days in 30 isn't exactly a win....

Kindly drop me a PM with your ADSL username so that I can check

Wtf :( My Openweb account cannot authenticate due to incorrect username/password error. What's going on here? Right now I'm using my 1GB Afrihost account and it's fine.

Does OW provide any functionality to check bandwidth usage to date for month and monthly history?

Second, how do u take advantage of the wifi connectivity, where can I find the details?

Thanks
