I concur, international especially to Europe was shocking - last night (Sunday) I was getting 500kbps to futubox server2. Local to Neotel speedtest was fine tho. Funny when Leon at OW support tested my acc he said it was fine :confused:

I used my Afrihost account which was fine till it ran out last night.

So have no idea what was wrong but all is back to normal tonight, full speed.
It started coming right after about 11pm last night I noticed, but before that it was utterly useless.

I cancelled with OpenWeb last month because of slow international speeds and received confirmation that there would be no further transaction on my bank account from OpenWeb.

Surprise surprise they ignored my request and I was billed again this month.

Any issues on downstream tonight? Been getting less than 1Mbps on 4Mbps account. Tracert shows all hops under 50ms

Youtube @360p has constant buffering and same with vimeo; browsing feels a bit laggy as well but NNTP going full blast. What's up with that?

It's part of the t+c's and you agree when signing up. So many people complain about this but I don't understand why people sign up knowing about this and then complain when they want to cancel, if somebody doesn't like the terms they shouldn't sign up.

Mybroadband speedtest on local is up to shyte.
Last Chance for Openweb... Rather go back to MWEB and then just make sure I don't hit the CAP!

I however strongly doubt the fault is on the account side, as the network is completely unshaped at the moment and all systems are green

LOL - First ever post ... Just to give OW a stiff carrot :D
Is there any reason in particular that I should stay away from OW or are you just peeved and venting?
Either way ... I found your post somewhat entertaining, considering it was your first.

Well, I hope you sort you issue issue out with OW, because the calender month notice will take you to end March in any case. ;)

So I'm not alone. Thought my exchange was having one of its scheduled brain farts again. But it seems I'm experiencing the same issues as you. Did it start on the 1st of this month for you.

Please include a tracert result to one of the streaming servers if possible. This always helps us with the troubleshooting process.

MrBEEP I am to scared to upgrade for a higher speed because I do not want to lose my current login because it is flying fast even during the afternoon when I am on night shift! :D If I ask for a upgrade can I request to keep my current credentials? :P
