Hi Flanders

I see all tickets have been responded to.

To fast track matters, please drop me a PM with your ADSL username so that we can have a look. This is certainly not normal.

I've just signed up on a Budget capped 30GB account and my speed is rather sad at the moment. I have mailed them but awaiting response.

Line syncs at 7004/639.

My backup axxess is going at full tilt while this ^ is the best result I've had out of a handful of attempts on my openweb account. Most are coming through at +-80kb/sec.

Sent an email and got a reply saying my port has been reset and I should try in an hour, will try when I get home :D

One thing though, resetting the port refers to the port on the DSLAM right? If so, wouldn't it have affected the performance on the Axxess account or am I getting this wrong :) ?

You are not throttled, as we do not throttle our accounts. We can unfortunately only assist once we have your ADSL username as there are no issues on the network currently.

Going to email them today. Was working great for the first two days, Downloaded a couple of gigs nothing major from midnight to 7am, so I would not think that I would be getting throttled or heavily shaped.
 
All sorted Mr Beepster :) - Reset of ports, from your quick support person( Leoni ), resolved the problem! Give that girl a Bells!

My issue is back again? 0.56Mb download? My fiance is looking at me with a death stare as Greys Anatomy refuses to stream on Netflix

Please please is there a permanent solution?

My speeds have dropped tonight and i have switched router off and on, and changed accounts, currently on the 2Mb gold uncapped special, here are the results from a speedtest international from myBB speedtest

Test conducted on 12/5/2012 7:18:07 PM

Download Speed: 474 kbps (59.3 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 302 kbps (37.8 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 205 ms

With FNB,

Test conducted on 12/5/2012 7:22:20 PM

Download Speed: 1630 kbps (203.8 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 303 kbps (37.9 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 226 ms

Please advise what next step i can take Mr Beep, thanks

Support assisted me last night, got given an @openweb account to use as opposed to my @mynetwork and it was much better although the name of the account was not my name or surname, seems like I'm using someone else's account lol :)

Either way doesn't bother me as long as the 1.7Mbs continues

You are not using 'someone elses' account. Names are assigned randomly for security reasons.

I am determined to become a new OpenWeb client..

I enquired about the Gold Uncapped special, apparently all the accounts are sold out. :/

So i am looking at the Unshaped 30GB pre christmas special.


Which is better technically speaking, Gold Uncapped or Unshaped capped
and
Vanilla uncapped vs Unshapped

I prefer Gold Uncapped. Treat yourself! It has a low contention ratio and gets priority over cheaper services.
