OpenWeb Terms and Conditions - Shaping issues

I have a "shaped" business uncapped account with OpenWeb at the moment, and would like some advice.

Here is the sales pitch :-

"Introducing our brand new Business Uncapped Shaping system. All accounts are UNSHAPED until you reach the below amount of GB’s in a current month. Once shaped, you will enter the Business Uncapped shaping pool. This does not mean the end of the internet for you. Shaping is applied to downloads and other heavy protocols when the network is busy. Shaping will only be applied when the network is busy. Browsing, Emails, VOIP etc is Unshaped even if you have reached your limit for the month. You will still be unshaped between 00:00 and 07:00 daily, guaranteed, no matter how much bandwidth you have used. You will NEVER be throttled. We DO NOT throttle!
2Mbps – 150GB
4Mbps – 220GB
10Mbps – 320GB
20Mbps – 670GB
Your GB counter is reset on the 1st of each month."

Please note the statement about browsing being unshaped. At this moment in time, I am only able to access facebook at about FOUR k/s, so much for unshaped browsing. Also "downloads" is not a protocol !!!

Are there others that are currently with openweb that have the same issues ?

That's Openweb for you. It has been proven time and time again that they can't be trusted to actually offer the service they promise.

Technically "Downloads" isn't a protocol, it could be any number of protocols, depending on how you're downloading. Everything you do on the internet is done over some form of protocol, even browsing the web and checking email.

Not sure what your options are, but best that you just give your cancellation notice now, and cut your losses if need be. Getting your money back from them may be more trouble than it's worth.

Move to another ISP.

I am on AH business. No shaping, great support, nobody shares my account, and my password is not 1122.
