Openweb uncapped ADSL feedback

Have you guys seen these prices: http://www.afrihost.com/site/newsroom/view/afrihost_upgrades

That 10mb uncapped looks might lucrative at R797 vs the R738 I'm currently paying for 4mb uncapped. I'm first and foremost for OW and have had nothing but exceptional service, but can OW perhaps also match something like this in the future ? Not that I want to jump ship, just merely wondering :)

Dude, you have to remember, you're comparing prices for a standard uncapped service with Gold Uncapped. Gold Uncapped is naturally more expensive because we get a lot lower contention ratios and other benefits.
 
Give credit where credit is due, currently streaming youtube @ 1080p no problems, gaming with sub 200ms ping on dota 2 EU servers.

Also on a @openweb.co.za account and am having trouble with 720/1080p streams. What sites are you guys streaming from? I'll have a look tonight if its not something on my side that could be the problem.

Other than streaming, latency and download speeds are awesome.

Edit: I am actually able to stream HD content tonight! Not sure whats changed hope it stays like this :D

Anyone having issues again?

News crawling along at 20k/s and international sites are a joke.

Cant even open speedtest?
 
Reminds me of the old IS days, spot a cloud and have no connection.

Seriously, a local podcast in itunes, 3.2mb, taking over 30 minutes to download.

There are no general issues currently. All our test lines are running 100%.

*sigh* international access is borked again. Can't even get to Gmail and other international sites. Local is fine.

So, who of you guys/girls are going to upgrade to 2MB Gold Uncapped? Sucks that we cannot take advantage of their current PROMO.

I'm already on 2MB Gold Uncapped, it's known as 4MB Gold Uncapped on the IS backbone! :)
 
Streaming is pretty bad on my account too. Been waiting half an hour for a 6 minute video to buffer, and it's more or less at 1:50 now. Even for a 384 account, this is pretty bad.

Must be a fault somewhere on the IS network.
