as opposed to the possibility there are happy customers?

Have you been following either account's post history? They never post unless it's related to OpenWeb, and they both viciously lash out at anyone who even so much as says something remotely negative about OpenWeb, often to the point where they act as if legitimate complaints are ridiculous. Even their posting styles are similar, as is the (often flawed) logic behind their posts.

Me and a few other members on the forums have picked up on it, and I'd say I'm about 98% sure my suspicions are correct. The other 2% is for the vague possibility that they are nothing more than extremely devoted, heretical fans of OpenWeb.

So basically, anyone who supports their brand, and it proud of their brand is a dummy? Perhaps you are the dummy from another ISP

Nope, I just see a spade for a spade. There's a difference between being a fan and being fanatical to the point that you guys are.

I'm a happy OpenWeb customer and would recommend the ISP to people if asked, but you don't see me going around screeching at whoever has complaints about the ISP and badmouthing all the other ISPs out there.

Did you miss the posts where I complimented Webafrica and Axxess, which I am a supporter of as well?

All three these Isps are on my praise list. I suppose I work for all of them lol

The fact that you found it in your heart to say something nice about two other ISPs once or twice does not really do much to allay my suspicions, no. It's odd, yes, but your intent still seems to be to protect and promote OpenWeb at all costs, and woe betide anyone who says something nasty about OpenWeb.

However, I'm not going to debate the validity of your account the rest of the day, as there is no way for me to be 100% sure of anything unless the moderators take a look and confirm or deny my suspicions with solid proof. You and Cableguy are both highly suspect, what with your undying devotion to OW, your posting style being the same as MrBeep's and the same flawed logic being used on both accounts. Not really much worth saying about if further, seeing as there's no way to prove or disprove it ourselves either way.

Hi Graal,

I do not appreciate the accusation. We do not condone 'dummy' accounts to post on behalf of us, nor are our staff permitted to create such accounts.

The last three posts are rather suspect.

However, I agree. No complaints from my side and my account has been running flawlessly of late.

are you a mole bud? For all we know you are an openweb agent. Look at the nice things you have to say.

Hmmm mrbeep is graal a mole dude?

I was a big supporter of mweb at one point and tuned people blind. I was even called a mole but i loved their product much like you love openweb graal you bloody agent :p

Not a dummy account here....anyway just wanted to say thanks to Openweb, had some speed problems with my account today and they sorted it out for me within 10 minutes. Openweb rocks!

I am fascinated . I knew about soccer/ rugby ,movie stars , musicians fans . I never knew that there are ISP fans . I wander if Woolworth and Edgars got fans.

Live and learn :)

I am a Edgars fan by the looks of my edgars account balance..... :erm: :D

I have to add that everytime I asked to be moved to another backbone no questions were asked I was just moved. Thats pretty decent service. This whole debate is just ridiculous if you ask me. :)

Any complaints from VB users? Packet loss on DSL-H driving me up the wall.

I had lots of problems with packet loss and high latency on DSL-H. I eventually gave up on it and moved over to IS. So no you are not the only one who had/has problems with it. I saw lot of complaints on the webafrica forums regarding packet loss and latency. I would say try VB out and if that does not work for you try IS as well. Can't get any worse(I hope) so it is worth a try.

Slightly off topic question, but has the debit orders been run for this month? Just checked online and don’t see anything from Openweb on my account. Might this be because of the price reductions and problems arising with changing the debit orders?

Unfortunately there were some major delays imposed by the Public Holidays. The debit order run will however take place tonight. I do apologize for the delay!

Has this been implemented on the IS based accounts?

For example, the IS 4Mbps uncapped service has been upgraded to allow up to 10Mbps. According to Nourse, this offers customers value “in excess of the discount received from Telkom.”
