Openweb uncapped ADSL feedback

Runs fine when I use my Axxess account - no latency problems so can't be the exchange here. When downloading on dslheaven I get full line speed and streaming is perfect - that's why I am reluctant to switch back bones - would rather pay the few extra rands to have axxess as a backup gaming account and keep using dslheaven for downloads + streaming.
 
I was at the point to email Mrbeep when i decided to first check here. I will give the network a day to resolve problems. But I keep on seeing people complaining about 80kb/s as in CYBERARMY's post. When my max is about 80kb/s. Im happy with 80kb/s but atm im getting 2kb/s downloading and alot of timeouts. Normal download is 60kb/s these days after hours.Been on IS and dslheaven (mweb acc I think)
 
Sorry its kinda a double post to the previous one from last night.
I don't think I understand internet connectivity anymore. Week 1 im getting 60-80kbps and the next week/day it suddenly drops to 5kbps. Ive been switching backbones 3 times now for the past month. I mostly do torrents (after hours only).I think my best speeds was at IS so far but I dont understand the 60% speed drop all of the sudden on that. Will email Mrbeep later. Any suggestions from you guys what is best for torrents?

Throttled? We are not throttling anyone. If you are experiencing a problem, please email [email protected] so that it can be resolved. Please do not make unsubstantiated claims on the forums. We implement shaping during busy periods, definitely not throttling

On DSLHeaven, and have noticed very slow browsing during the day. This generally wasn't the case last month. Is this shaping? It's a gold account. Just checking before i e-mail. I use office communicator through our VPN, and could not connect or keep the connection until i switched to another account. Thanks.

I notice my speedtest says my IP is webafrica (on DSLHeaven) - and I see a lot of complaints on the wA forum re slow speeds and latency issues between 8am and 5pm. Is this unrelated? Or is DSLHeaven on WA and experiencing the same issues?

P.S. This is more for my curiosity.

Anything up at the moment...? Having crazy slow speeds suddenly.... :/

There are currently some issues that we are aware of on some networks. Engineers are hoping to have these resolved before the weekend.

Shaping does not show the status of SA internet. If you chose a shaped package, or a package with a FUP, do you expect 24/7 full speed? If so, this is unrealistic. Please mail me and we can discuss upgrade options. [email protected]
