Openweb uncapped ADSL feedback

Doing this very reluctantly.....
I do still have a Titan 1 account though, so I shan't be entirely internetless.

Openweb:It's been super. Hopefully we can do it again some time. :)
 
Hi StoneCold,

You were moved off of DSLHeaven the other day after you logged a ticket. The account has since been disabled for that reason.

Any other users who are also on "special" 1mb uncapped? I get 13kb/sec max in day time of normal 109kb/sec... anyone else also just get 13kb/sec or is it just me?

PS: thats from HTTP not torrents or p2p.
 
How much are you paying for the 1Mbps?

Have you requested a network move?

R99 , Keoma already moved me to ****@openweb.co.za .... im at IS now... the other one was more crap..

i cant even open the speedtest.net website.... and a HTTP download is like 8kb/sec today ....EDGE is faster than that.....
 
i dont know whats up, called support they reset my acc, now i get 3.3MB/sec on speedtest.net, but my HTTP download is 10kb/sec..........

I have a uncapped 10meg afterhours account.
My rapidshare is only doing 100k.
Is anyone else having similar problems.

I think the problems WA are having now are starting to affect me. My account has worked flawlessly since the end of last year and during the last couple of days I am seeing speed issues. Just mailed MrBeep, will see what he suggests.

EDIT: btw, what are the VB accounts like these days?

Vb and BCS is perfect for http download. p2p and usenet is shaped quite badly especially on standard uncapped. IS seems to be the top backbone and works flawlessly. Sometimes problems but MOST of the time epic. If you plan on using vb or bcs on http and ftp and stuff like that I would recommend that backbone.

That said its on standar uncapped not sure about the rest

my vb 4meg account seems to be crawling this evening at 50kB/s or less. started must be 30min to an hour ago.

Forgotten what slow internet felt like :D Not getting more than 100Kb/s with multi-threaded http downloads on DSL-H atm. Youtube still seems fine and NNTP running between 300-350Kb/s :confused:
 
There is unfortunately an international fault at the moment causing slower speeds.

Good Day Everyone

I see that OpenWeb has a 1Mb Standard Uncapped special going on for R189
So I was wondering, how is the Standard package for a Heavy downloader? and maybe for online gaming?
Need you guys opinion on this, and maybe the a comparison between the Silver and the Standard as well?
