Openweb uncapped ADSL feedback

Hi I was on good openweb account from November last year think it was the VB one, well around May they stopped it since then have been on several different accounts each one gave me something different i.e. one gave good daytime speeds shyte night speed another one gave me poor daytime good evening bad weekend. Another one stopped .exe downloads and Netload downloads. No one account gave me a balanced Internet experience the latest one takes me back to dial up speeds 4-8 Kb/s speed on a rapidshare download. This is not shaping it's F_ crucifying getting sick and tired of the ISP's meddling with ones accounts.

Well, we are using shaped accounts, so we should expect slower speeds on some protocols, but I agree. Shaping should be balanced. One protocol shouldn't be shaped so badly that it becomes basically unusable.

I am currently on the dsl-bcsgroup (Digichilli) backbone from OpenWeb and the download speeds have been averaging at about 3kb/sec all morning.

Anyone else here having problems?

I must admit, these Openweb uncapped accounts look like a lot of hard work having to email all the time to change backbones.

Not on my end. I'm also on the BCS backbone, and my line has been maxing pretty much since the day I got it. Loving it.

I'm situated about 30km out of Cape Town.

4MB Gold Uncapped on the IS Backbone.

Anyone else having major speed issues with general web browsing? By speed issues I mean 7min to open this Forum.

Very strange indeed. I can stream Youtube with no problems, I just takes forever to open websites.

So VB is dead, IS is "wierd" and DSLH is cruising. Odd.

Well, response from support was to change DNS servers on the router, condidering the problem, this sounded like a very plausable solution. However in doing so, things got even worse.

Waiting for reply from support now.

Did anyone experience authentication issues on BCS earlier, could not connect at all. Not at home right now so will have to chek later, just want to check it wasn't just me.

Regards
Guz

Got moved to BCS and must say ,not impressed ,Usenet going at roughly 1,5 Kbs.

Mr Beep please let me know if they can sort out the Vb backbone.
