Is anyone else on any of the Openweb eSim packages? Is there an Openweb rep on the forums?

I've been getting dismal speeds and intermittent connectivity from day 1.

I've got my apn settings set up as they have suggested (globaldata, no user, no password).

Here is a speed test a few minutes ago:

Oh dear, I don't think I can read all 61 pages of 1205 posts

Thanks for sharing the link though, guess that's my lesson for not researching a company before signing a month-to-month contract. I figured since it was using the Vodacom network it wouldn't be terrible but seems I was wrong

What is 61 pages between friends? That's like 2 hours of reading.

I can't speak for the performance of Vodacom, but I do know these guys (openweb) did a lot of dodgy stuff back in the day. I wouldn't trust them. Hope you get sorted. Maybe buy a prepaid Sim with some data and see if there's any difference.

You'll know if it's Vodacom or Openweb

I already have a prepaid Vodacom sim and have already confirmed it's not Vodacom.

See the difference, I just did these tests a few minutes apart one rightt after the other...

I just signed up for the Uncapped Prime and activated the eSIM. Seeing the same terrible speeds, have you tried reaching out to them to see what they say?

They recommended I try one of their physical sim card plans.

Well for me, I see that every night around 9ish, the speeds are normal ( 100Mbps + on 5G) but for a minute at most. Definitely some form of throttling/shaping.

I’m just curious as to whether they’re reselling like an Airalo service of some sort.

My guess is that they are, the esim is named "Mobilkom (Liechstein) AG" and the correct apn to use is "globaldata".

The other options are:

> "FL1 DATA - mobilkom.li - [email protected]"

> "Telecom Liechtenstein xcap - fl1.li"

> "FL1 MMS - free.fl1.net - [email protected]"

For me the ESIM name is “Connect” however the IP address i receive belongs to OVH and Packet Host, cycles between those two if I disable and re-enable. Either one is pathetic. I know it’s not Vodacom in my area because on 5G here I surpass 500Mbps.

Are you going to try their physical sim?
