Aah sneaking into a cinema! The good ol daysTaking pictures of the Mona Lisa is expressly allowed where as pirating software and media is stealing from a company's income.
If you want to compare pirating to something, compare it to sneaking into a cinema or The Louvre where the Mona Lisa is exhibited without paying an entrance fee.

Any good copies?Loki S01E01.
My friend and I wanted to go watch Black Hawk Down back in the day but we're both 15 at the time missing the age restriction by a month. So we convinced his sister, 19, to go with us to "sneak" us in as a consenting adult.Aah sneaking into a cinema! The good ol days![]()
I thought you were 50+, but you're 35 odd only LOLMy friend and I wanted to go watch Black Hawk Down back in the day but we're both 15 at the time missing the age restriction by a month. So we convinced his sister, 19, to go with us to "sneak" us in as a consenting adult.
My friend and I both got through no problem, but then they stop her and ask her for her ID which she didn't have on her.

No you're right, I'm just wondering how wrong my life could go if I hit 50 one day and I'm still posting here and not found something better to do, like for example, being passed out drunk on a yacht or something. But then how can you be 15 in 2001?
Ag, if you enjoy it here, you can be as old as the Queen and carry on posting. Of course, I personally don't think I will live to her age though LOLNo you're right, I'm just wondering how wrong my life could go if I hit 50 one day and I'm still posting here and not found something better to do, like for example, being passed out drunk on a yacht or something.
But if someone can't access it, then the producer can't have lost anything... Ergo no theft.Just because something exists, does not automatically mean you are entitled to it.
Well I guess since I've been here for 15 years already I may just as well carry on for another 15Ag, if you enjoy it here, you can be as old as the Queen and carry on posting. Of course, I personally don't think I will live to her age though LOL
Jeepers, I am clocking 16+ years now myself.Well I guess since I've been here for 15 years already I may just as well carry on for another 15![]()
You should have no issue going to court to defend that logic…But if someone can't access it, then the producer can't have lost anything... Ergo no theft.
If it was civil that would be an easy win. No damages. You should have no issue going to court to defend that logic…
It’s not like you’re fighting the government. If it was civil that would be an easy win. No damages.
Problem is its criminal, despite it clearly being a civil matter.
Ummm that's exactly what you are doing when its criminal... The prosecutor is the state...It’s not like you’re fighting the government.
You assume no damages, that’s why I’m saying let a court decide.
So to complete the picture.Ummm that's exactly what you are doing when its criminal... The prosecutor is the state...
Its not universal pictures taking you to court, they realized this tactic doesnt work a long time ago, then started racketeering (i.e. threating legal action and getting people to pay 'fees') and now they are in the game of making it illegal.
That is where you clearly don't know the intent behind copyright and are applying your own morality.Just because something exists, does not automatically mean you are entitled to it.
