My friend and I wanted to go watch Black Hawk Down back in the day but we're both 15 at the time missing the age restriction by a month. So we convinced his sister, 19, to go with us to "sneak" us in as a consenting adult.

My friend and I both got through no problem, but then they stop her and ask her for her ID which she didn't have on her.

No you're right, I'm just wondering how wrong my life could go if I hit 50 one day and I'm still posting here and not found something better to do, like for example, being passed out drunk on a yacht or something.

Ag, if you enjoy it here, you can be as old as the Queen and carry on posting. Of course, I personally don't think I will live to her age though LOL

Ummm that's exactly what you are doing when its criminal... The prosecutor is the state...

Its not universal pictures taking you to court, they realized this tactic doesnt work a long time ago, then started racketeering (i.e. threating legal action and getting people to pay 'fees') and now they are in the game of making it illegal.

So to complete the picture.
You don’t see an issue because they don’t allow the content here legally.
They don’t allow the content here because they can’t protect it legally.
But you also don’t want them to be able to protect it legally.

That is where you clearly don't know the intent behind copyright and are applying your own morality.

The purpose is to advance science and the arts. The implication is indeed that you have the right to it. It's just the conditions under which you are entitled to it that are up for debate.

It's only lately that corporations have lobbied to change the law to misuse it for profiteering and people have used it for their own vested interests to prevent access to material.
