Bar one incident, which actually turned out to be something Vumatel had to attend to, the network has been awesome to be on. Mostly quite stable. Cannot recall it being down. Speed constantly what I expect. 5 *****

2 weeks after the issue was resolved, i asked for a follow-up.
what was the issue and how it was resolved, and i received this:

"Please remember that these services are internationally based and also depending on what their servers can handle will generally affect all clients connecting to their services as a high influx of clients connecting to them can give constant buffering. "

And that after i explained that i dont have an issue when i am using 3G, and sent a detailed ping plotter report that showed packets loss.

Not to mention everyone on mybb was complaining....

Other then that, i get great speeds from them....so in my opinion.....very close to 5 but not just there yet.

Good, but not excellent.
Good pricing and I appreciate their investment into their backbone infrastructure.
They respond to tickets acceptably, but didn't go out of the way to assist. (Though it was more of a fibre provider issue)

I had to rate as fair.

Pros:

- Uncapped internet is awesome
- Great pings to London which is great for me as I game on London servers
- I'm on 20/20 connection and I get 19.5 down and like 21 up, so I can't complain; it's really good

Cons:

- Their customer service. It's horrible. Not as good as it used to be. I have a problem with my line disconnecting now and I got asked by their team to do a speed test when the line goes down... Seriously?
- You have to follow up with them on an issue instead of the other way around. I recently had to wait 2 weeks for a follow-up and I only got it because I called them
- Stop always saying it's fibre providers fault. I'm paying you the money. Part of that money goes to the company that laid the infrastructure in my area. I shouldn't have to call them myself to get the problem fixed because you immediately assume that the problem is with them!
- The coolzone portal really needs some work
- You payment system dates are weird. My invoice used to be available on the 28th of every month. Now it's on the 28th, 19th, 1st sometimes even on the 2nd of every month. Please keep this a consistent date for customers who choose to not make a debit order.

I rated Cool Ideas as Excellent. Disconnecting from Telkom (horrible experience), I was pleasantly surprised at the speed at which I got connected. Signed up the Tuesday. Technician came out to install the line on Friday. Up and running by that afternoon. Can't beat their value proposition as well. No contract & only R499 for 10 Meg line & uncapped Fibre. Highly recommended.

I've been with them since Jan 2019, and I haven't had any issues with them since. I am a very happy Cool Ideas customer

Had same issues initially, but was Metrofibre (the FNO) who's VLAN went awol. But since February just excellent!

50/50 Mbps and no problems (don't game or use overseas services but streaming always works in full HD)!

I've been with them for a year now and everything just works. The single support item I had at the start of the relationship was dealt with swiftly and conclusively. Haven't had the need to talk to support ever since.

I see we are doing a pro and con review type so here is mine (might be a bit biased)

Pro :

• One if not the only ISP that provides low pings to Brazil
• Their connection is great for the whole family considering they are unshaped , fully uncapped (their experiencing some teething issues currently )

Cons :

•Their Openserve packages are extremely expensive
•They don’t provide 24/7 support
•Their support system is extremely slow often relying on 3 support agents to handle everyone’s problems

Top efficient service response very good with ticket s. Superior service speed ,ping everything tops

Been with them for 2 years now. No issues whatever. Any break in connectivity notified immediately and corrected with minimum delay. 100% satisfied.

How does it help me to jump on the phone with them when their call centre is not 24/7????

For instance, when I was unable to use the service I pay for, on Friday at 21:00 or Sunday at 20:00 this weekend, I logged a ticket after trying to call and having the IVR tell me that I have phones outside of their business hours???????
I dont work for them so dont take your frustration out on me - lodge a complaint with them with regards to the service you are paying for and not receiving

Would have given them"Excellent" but gave them "Good" because a simple yes or no ticket has been unanswered since 9-July:cautious:

Love Cool Ideas!! Never had any issues with them. Pricing is good, speed is great! Recommend them to everyone.
