Performance - get advertised speed; latency okayish but don't game online
Support - always had quick response to issues - there haven't been many
Value for money - not the cheapest around but have had line go down twice in only 6 years so really can't complain
Overall satisfaction - High


Please upgrade the local exchange to support better than 1024

I have Telkom 1mb uncapped.
Speed: downloads at 104kBs
Latency: 160ms ping to IS Gaming servers during the day, sub 60 during off peak
Support: usually get my issues sorted within hours
Value for money: not the cheapest but SAIX news server is what I'm more interested in
Overall satisfaction: Apart from the excessive pricing on line rental, I'm very happy.
 
Only problem with them are= when you phone them, prepare to wait looooong.

you would like to know how much data left, but oops. When you do get capped, no one inform you, the family complain they cannot go to Facebook.
 
Performance - good to very good, would like to see my line speed upgraded to 10Mbps (currently 4Mbps)

Support - had good support to the odd call, even got text messages to confirm all good and not happy from my side to call them

Value for money - only got 1Gb capped, should upgrade it to 4Gb capped which would be far better value ... dare I gripe about the line rental cost for ADSL?

Overall satisfaction - Very good
 
Performance: I get the advertised speed/downloads all the time on my 4 meg line, the latency was perfect in games until something happened in December. Now it is random latency in my WoW games going from 200 ms to 800 ms causing me to change ISP's for gaming.

Support havent really used the Telkom ISP support lately but it seemed alright a while back

Value for money I find it a value for money with the Do3 package, since 20 gigs/30 gig local for R131 is very reasonable compared to other packages available for the same size and quality.

Overall satisfaction Fair, since it is performing badly sometimes on my game causing me to pay another ISP so I can game properly, but for browsing/downloading it is perfect


Please upgrade the dslam so I can get 10 megs and fix the latency issue on the account so I dont have to use Afrihost besides for free gig

Never really had any issues woth Telkom Internet, it's always been rather reliable, and the fact they keep upping there cap limit every couple of months now, it is starting to make it more worthwhile.

But as per always Pricing could always be better.
The Call Centre has not been very spectacular lately, helped out a friend the other day and gave up after waiting for 45 mins.

Would like to see telkom/8ta merge So I can get a bundled option instead of having separate accounts..
 
Only been using them for a month but very happy.On the DO package 20GB for R141 - very happy so far
Only gripe would be that local usage comes into play only after you have used your blended cap which is just plain stupid
 
generally i have not had much bad experieces with telkom but i do think they can up the speed of the 384Kbps users

Still using Telkom Internet, and I cannot complain, speeds are good, latency is ok, never really had to phone Telkom Internet support.

The added local bandwidth, is VERY useful. Otherwise its not the cheapest bandwidth available.
They can improve by lowering the bandwidth cost and increasing the amount of free local.
 
Performance: Rock solid (remember this is the ISP, not the physical connection)

Support Only time I used them (pre-10210) they were good.

Value for money One of the pricier 1Mb/s uncapped accounts around - price reduction would be welcomed!

Overall satisfaction 4 - Pricing prevents a higher rating.
 
Line speed is a bit slower then advertised but still better then expected, just taking the line into account not the best value for money.
Support usually sorts out the problem pretty quick. (the advantage of buying straight from telkom)
 
Speed is as advertised, latency rather random...
Basic information like proxy settings, dns server ip, etc. are not exactly easy to find - have not had any other need for support.
1024 uncapped is overpriced!
Competitive overall but still way too expensive.
 
Speed is as advertised 38-40 kbps. Latency is up and down a bit.

Decent service - hurry up and wait at both Telkom Direct or their support line. Seems Telkoms internal network is slower than my internet, which is nothing to write home about.

Telkom can speed up their service/support services, and give much better internet speeds for the money we pay.
 
I have a 10mb line - but it goes up until 7mb or so. Sometimes in the evenings i get disconnected, well almost every night, and my adsl goes down - not the ISP but telkom itself. Other than that I dont really have any complaints.
 
Never really had a problem with Telkom Internet.

But as the performance of Telkom ADSL was so poor it was difficult to judge accurately.
 
Performance (speed and latency): Low latency and 430 Kb/s+
Support: Good when I need them they are efficient
Value for money: on do3 20 gig account and it is value for money
Overall satisfaction: very good happy with my account does what I need it for

Please also tell us how Telkom Internet can improve to make you a happier customer? Nothing that I can think of besides carrying on increasing the cap or make it uncapped.
