^ This argument I can understand and also agree with

Totally agree on both the Xbox life in order to play is a dick move as well as exclusives being crap for gamer esp if you make an uneducated purchase.
 
Just for Clarification on my Previous post as I know some one will misuse it.

Xbox Life was a free service that started waay back in 2002.
PlayStation came out with PlayStation Plus in 2007 that was a paid for service
Microsoft followed in 2008 by introducing a Xbox Live (Free) and Xbox live Gold(Paid) service to compete with the free games PlayStation used to get people to subscribe.
I think in 2010/11? or around there Xbox merged the Silver and Gold into a single service.
 
I wonder if XBox is going to drop Live Gold. Isn't Halo Infinite going to have free multiplayer even without Gold? If I remember correctly they said that earlier in the year.

Well they already giving you a 1 Month GP Ultimate for 1 Month Gold if you "upgrade" (That is how I got 36 months of Ultimate for R1938.00)

So you might be onto something....

Now we talking like adults :) none of the kickboxing stuff xboxsuxbegtime YOLO playstation 4 life 4 ever crap :)

My brother has 2 x PS 4's for his kids, I'm sure a lot of people find it much more popular with the younger generation and ease of access when you turn the PS into a familia style console.

However over the years I found my Xbox more single person orientated and struggled to turn it into the family machine.

Personal preference is really key and how each console would fit into ones personal life, and that's where I think Sony has been leaps ahead of MS, but MS are starting to catch a wake up now :)
 
Talking about Fortnight

I wonder how its going to affect Xbox/PS Game stores if Epic wins as I am sure they also taking a cut in sales?
I know Steam is
I hate having to fork out $$ in Steam for silver in Destiny so I can buy every new expansion/season. Suspect Console are the same?

Yes but to buy a pc that's equivalent to a console is way more expensive. And don't want the kids to play on my pc if I want to do some web trolling
