I've been reading about that a bit. If I'm not mistaken it has something to do with the compass calibration?
Were you using the controller or a phone?

I noticed it was quite a problem around July when the spark was released. Hopefully DJI have sorted this out with some sort of software update. The RC.
They shouldn't be shipping them at all if this is a high probability.I noticed it was quite a problem around July when the spark was released. Hopefully DJI have sorted this out with some sort of software update.
Flip man, I can only imagine your emotions when you spark started flying away.
The drone lost connection to the control so RTH wasn't an option. It was quite high up so if I had killed the motors (I don't know how) it was probably end game for the drone anyway.Jeez, that must suck. I wonder what I would do in that situation. Maybe try RTH? Else if its low kill the motors? It its very high you can do the same and restart before it hits the ground. There is a guy who did this on Youtube with his Mavic.
Getting my little Sparky in a day or so. A friend is bringing it in from the USA. Got a good deal, fly more combo + 3rd battery for roughly R9.5k. got a free pack of 3 Polar Pro ND filters as well!
Thanks. You perhaps got a link by any chance?
I ended up getting something like this. But +1 more battery. This one?

Ordered it on the Wednesday night SA time and it was at my friend's place in Atlanta by Saturday morning.Out of curiosity, how long did it take for your stuff to arrive?
I have a question. So I got my Spark. Set up everything. But due to the weather I haven't gone outside as yet. I've launched the drone indoors and obviously there's no GPS signal and it flies in atti mode.
When I launch it however, there is a N/A next to the battery. Although when I launch it it does show the remaining time left on that battery. In the settings it also shows N/A under voltage etc. Has this got something to do with me not having signal? Happens on all 3 of my batteries.
I wonder why mine is just showing N/A. I tried reinstalling the DJI app as well. Apparently there was an update for the battery in September. But it says all up to date for me.
Did it go mia/lost/hone forever? They shouldn't be shipping them at all if this is a high probability.
In any case, they were quite good about replacing mine. Hopefully it won't take too long.
