Quadcopter/Drone Thread

I noticed it was quite a problem around July when the spark was released. Hopefully DJI have sorted this out with some sort of software update.
They shouldn't be shipping them at all if this is a high probability.

In any case, they were quite good about replacing mine. Hopefully it won't take too long.

Flip man, I can only imagine your emotions when you spark started flying away.

Jeez, that must suck. I wonder what I would do in that situation. Maybe try RTH? Else if its low kill the motors? It its very high you can do the same and restart before it hits the ground. There is a guy who did this on Youtube with his Mavic.

The drone lost connection to the control so RTH wasn't an option. It was quite high up so if I had killed the motors (I don't know how) it was probably end game for the drone anyway.

Getting my little Sparky in a day or so. A friend is bringing it in from the USA. Got a good deal, fly more combo + 3rd battery for roughly R9.5k. got a free pack of 3 Polar Pro ND filters as well!

Where did you get it from? Got friends in the US at the moment, might ask them to bring 1 back for me.

Check out the user buydig on eBay. He has some good deals on combos. Mine came with an extra battery and a hard carry case as well.

I have a question. So I got my Spark. Set up everything. But due to the weather I haven't gone outside as yet. I've launched the drone indoors and obviously there's no GPS signal and it flies in atti mode.

When I launch it however, there is a N/A next to the battery. Although when I launch it it does show the remaining time left on that battery. In the settings it also shows N/A under voltage etc. Has this got something to do with me not having signal? Happens on all 3 of my batteries.

Afaik it should be a battery percentage.

Did it go mia/lost/hone forever?
And they still undertook to replace it at no charge?
