Do any of the DJI drones go on special during Black Friday or cyber Monday ? Which stores?

Also hoping it goes on special on ebucks store.

The eBucks store does have drone specials, so definitely keep an eye out there.

droneworld.co.za often has great deals too.

Here's a map of the no-fly zones;
A good map, although it does not include restricted military airspace. This covers a lot of Gauteng.

Beyond the standard recreational RAV restrictions which apply to both civilian and military airspace, that airspace is not relevant to the "hobbiest" airspace. It's pretty much irrelevant in the context of this thread.

The map I provided is the CAA restriction on RPAS. High-level military and commercial restrictions don't apply to the hobbiest.

We are, after all only flying consumer drones here - and not commercial and military aircraft, and the RPAS restrictions do cover military installations, as it does civilian ones.

Regarding the flying over built up areas, the rules on CAA’s website don’t seem to say this is not allowed as far as I can see.

From what the rules state, it seems as though you need permission from property owners only if you are flying at an altitude equal to or below 50m above the property. That would seem to mean that you can fly in most places, except for those which are restricted as per the regulations etc.

This can be confusing as you can find different answers depending on where you look, but this is from the CAA website.

You are allowed to fly in built-up areas as long as you don't fly within the no-fly zones as posted stipulated by the RPAS regulations. You do, however still have to follow the general safety perimeters as stipulated by the CAA;

Yeah I think it is a typo. Seems the operating altitudes from what I’ve found is between 50 and 120m.

Legal operating altitude is 50m - but DJI drones are limited to 500m by software. No one enforces this, but it's just good common practice.
