Race Driver: GRID

I got the game now, and i must say, its pretty awesome.. Last codemasters racing game i played was Toca 3, and this is definetely a much improved product...

The AI drivers still get away with murder sometimes and seem to be solid tanks causing you to lose control while they just carry on racing, but generally its pretty cool seeing them spin off by themselves and making mistakes going into hairpin turns! Graphics are very good and i like the way that the "career" mode is done..

10/10 for this game... :D

It looks dam cool:cool:....I just don't hope it's like nfs pro street.

what would you guys recommend - playing it with a wheel, gamepad or keyboard?

I have been playing the demo with my MOMO wheel, great fun but not as responsive/accurate as games like Race07 and GTR2

I'll most likely use my 360 gamepad, don't have a wheel, and I find the keyboard too difficult.

Just tried a few races, very very cool. And the replay system rocks! I can check out my crashes in spectacular slow-motion. :D

Agreed. The replay system totally owns, and is one of the best features that make this game stand out from the rest

i played the demo ... god damn!!!! super smooth, no fps drops and everything maxed ... im sold ... waiting for the game now ... no BMW M3's as part of the car list ?:)

Jeez no internet for like 6 months... You miss so many games and new releases, as you dont know about them and dont have time t go check out the shops :/
Well atleast i can play this game now :D

Geezuz, will this game damn well get released already!!!

Yes, I have the copy I got off NH, but damn it, when I love a game this much, I just wanna buy it, so I can play it LEGALLY! haha.

I'm having hassles playing with my Logitech gamepad. Even though I map the steering & throttle to the analog-sticks, the game treats the inputs as digital (i.e. full lock turning).

Any advice on correcting this?

assuming Vista and you have the logitech software installed ... had the same problem with NFS: Pro street ...

thing is i did not install the logitech software but was getting no force feedback using the windows drivers, i then installed the logitech software and was getting steering lock to one side on my momo force feedback .... i uninstalled the logitech software, rebooted and then went into the std windows software calibration setup for game controllers and recalibrated my wheel and presto wheel works with force feedback

Actually it's XP-PRO SP3 but I have the Logitech software installed.

Thanks, I'll try your solution the afternoon and give feedback if it worked!

man this game rocks ... a bit difficult though - esp the drifting parts.

I was surprised to see it was from Codemasters.
