Haha so I just got a call from some dimwits called Easton Berry & Associates. They claim to be calling on behalf of their client “Rain”. I thought rain was paid a month in advance for their services or lack thereof. So why the hell am I getting calls about owing you anything?

I haven’t used rain since 2019/2020 and I had the 19hour unlimited plan. Sim only product. No router or anything. If I supposedly owe these dumb ferks then why didn’t they attempt to debit my account in 3 years? @rain_mobile @rain_networks Tell your pitbulls to go suck on my BBC incase they didn’t hear me well over the phone and kindly suck on my balls too while they are at it.

And no!! I am not PMing you any of my information, you can pull my information out of your arse for all I care.

I wanted to try Rain at home but the only way I could was by giving them my cc details.

I declined, seems by the OP this was a good move.

I have a R1 Rain sim that has never been used if anybody wants it, just pay for Delivery :p

You did yourself a favor. Else you would’ve been part of this circus.

You need to ask them to provide you with a statement, and then you can make an argument. Just to put it out there you have a right to those statements and any penalties which have been invoiced. Debt collectors, in particular the legal entities, tend to sidestep this. Just keep a watch on them because they charge collection too, in addition to the interest, and I know about instances where those charges were made when the debt was already settled. Scum. I can’t say whether it will be applicable in this case, but I know that it is done.

I have only twice had debt, one which came to bear through a dispute that I have lost and the other with an account I was under the impression was settled.

I also had a courier company calling me to pick up a router, for services cancelled over 2 years ago, and the router returned, lucky the Rain rep here sorted it out.

I don’t even need a statement from them,I don’t owe them anything and I am not giving them a cent of my money. This is not debt like signing a contract with MTN/Vodacom. They are not an FSP and there is absolutely fokkol they can do regarding this. All they can “legally” do is call me or spam me, that is where is ends. They are just grasping for straws and trying to intimidate people into giving them money. Not gonna happen.

Until Debt collectors start calling you regarding the router.

Debt collectors still need to prove to you that they have x debt to collect. Many times, they will do these calls to establish your particulars in order to trace you and whatnot.

I receive debt collection calls on a regular basis. Though I am not the person nor business they want, they keep on calling. I still don't tell them anything though, simply because I don't trust the caller.

Oh yeah I didn’t confirm any of my details with them because I have no business with them. Nor will I ever confirm anything with them. They can keep calling and everytime I will tell
Them to suck on that black thing between my legs.

I also used to have MBD calling me a few times a day for about 2 or 3 years looking some Moodley guy, I would do the same thing. Eventually they just stopped calling.
