So as the clock strikes 18:00 my Perfect 5G connection dies. Then constantly connects with full signal and drops again....

I smell trickery a foot...

@rain_mobile you are a bunch a sharks. Since you only give a portion of the bandwidth, We should give a portion of the R999

i do think this is a possibility as my connection is fine for a few days then one afternoon it resets and you get no 5G connection again for hours or days even, with it trying to connect but dropping the whole time.

and after a few days of perfect 5G, now back to being Oliver Twist and begging for support from rain...

@rain_mobile I think you are going to be charging me pro-rata going forward...How can i pay for 25% of a service?

this looks like the tower is rejecting the connection from my router. I suspect you have over committed your network and you are rain shedding me.

R999 / 30 / 24 works out to R1,39 per hour of premium 5G. I have had 5 days of premium 5g this month to date...

i have logged a call to cancel my service...(order Rain a week ago, got modem, and nothing worked and no response... i think Rain's strategy in lockdown did not work in their favor or in anyone's, Afrihost and all the other ISP's have work from home call center active, atleast they have some response... rain has nothing, i am actually disappointed as i thought to support rain and the new ISP and growing etc.. its a petty! at the end of the day, people want value for money and the value includes basic service... now the next fight begin to get my money back or even service cancelled...

look into the Consumer Protection Act

These two lines.....

*The representation or marketing of goods or services may not be misleading or false

*If the services rendered by the supplier are of poor quality or not completed in time, the consumer may request that the supplier correct his/her mistakes or request a refund. A refund will depend on the extent of the supplier’s mistake.

See - connects to 5G with near perfect signal - then my internet dies (assuming its switching from 4G to 5G) and the connection drops
