Rain Mobile Feedback Thread

We will only see how the speed compares once you maybe push the 50gig or 60gig mark . that's my guess

Nope, once the bulk of the rest of us join you in throttling the already oversubscribed network.

Sim received and activated. Signal in really crap, tried in Samsung S7 and Huawei B315.. i have sent a message via the website to Rain, will see what they come back with.
Any recommendations on improving signal strength?
Thanks

Purchase an antenna to improve signal strength.. My signal is terrible but knew what I was signing up for since last year

Getting better throughput than telkom on mine. Happy to keep using then, will see how the Fup goes. Youtube streamed like a charm lastnight, 1080p smooth as hell.

I probably did over 100GB this weekend. Downloaded the divital version of God of War on my ps4 which was 85gb total download and it was done this morning.

And no warning SMS's of any kind? Wow!

Care to share signal strength and how many bars your router / mobile device currently receiving with rain

Using my B618 and it is 3 full bars.

According to coverage map I'm close to the edge.

I have also been getting good speeds with my Rain fixed LTE since last year

Only receive 1 bar during quiet periods 2 bars and I am by the edge which means no other blue spots around me.

Also getting high bars, full three on device and 4 on website. Forcing 1800Mhz band, seems faster.

So just like with Rain fixed LTE Rain runs the following setup:

LTE on Band3
LTE on Band 38
LTE-A band 3 and Band 38 aggregated.

For the best speeds LTE-A is the best but some device can't so make sure to choose between bands to check speeds.

Don't know if this has been asked before but are there any modems on which carrier aggregation will work with RAIN

Not bad at all for the first speed test - Using a Mifi

I see no reason for me to be on on Rain's Fixed LTE package. Speeds and latency look the same and it's unlimited for 15 days including option for unlimited off-peak? I'll be moving over once I receive my mobile sim.

What will you do after the 15 days are up - Get the 250 bucks bolt on for 19hrs a day free unlimited data? Abit difficult for those of us who have the double data promo from back in November unless they have a similar bolt on option for Fixed LTE.
