Rain Mobile SIM Deliveries

You on Twitter? Try hit them up via Twitter. It's a medium they seem keen to interact on.

Glad to see you got sorted.
I only saw your message now, however I received notifications around 13:30 that my service was active. Just checked now and indeed seems to be working. Will post speedtest results when I can

I got mine on Tuesday. After a full 24 hours I contacted support. They escalated. I contacted them again this morning and midday it was active. Didn't use Twitter, so that might be the better option going forward for you guys

I haven't receive mine. The delivery was scheduled to the 8 then moved to the 12 and then to the 14. I have receive it up to now . I then call the Sendr courier who took my details and promised to call me and I was not called. Rain support team is useless and seem to have know knowledge of what happening with the deliveries.

I think the whole mess up stems from customers getting to choose when it gets delivered. They should have just couriered it out per order.Once volumes died down, allow new sign ups to choose delivery dates

.....

I found myself deeply sceptical myself when upon ordering very late last Thursday eve, I could choose any delivery date/time slot.

I proceeded to choose 10-11am the next day...needless to say, my concerns where more than founded when a week later nothing had been received as yet.

Seems to be the case with most of the orders.
Perhaps try that twitter method and see if you have any joy.
This "launch" gave a lot of us more grey hairs than anything else

Although it irked me to have to do so to receive any support of sorts, I signed up a few hrs ago and sent a tweet...still awaiting response from RAIN.

If and when this is resolved, i'll delete my Twit(ter) account

Update: got a response from RAIN at just past 09.00 requesting the ICCID's of my sims for activation

All 3 sims activated! Took a week from placing order to activation though....

Mine might be delivered today,or tomorrow,or sunday
Can't say for certain
Can't give tracking details either
It will be delivered sometime though

This seems to be the biggest ****fest customer service nonsense in existence

I phoned , emailed and eventually got sent 3 simcards had to cancel other 2.

They are trying to get them to everyone but the numbers are a lot.

Can type this on my decent unlimited broadband for R250 which some said was impossible a few years ago.

Delivery done 13/06/2018, third scheduled attempt, by third party courier. They didn't RICA on delivery, guy took photos of SIM and ID with his phone. Wasn't holding my breath for it, but after two hours got email from Rain to say it's ready.

Took multiple calls to Sendr and online chats with Rain...eventually figured out best way to contact them is through Twitter - really helpful guys manning that account, and they are immediately available.

Only problem now is the SIM number on my dashboard and the SIM I have are different - they will need to do a sim swap at some stage :(

I'm missing the value in these Rain packages? R50 per gig is fine if you someone who buys a gig at a time but if you someone who relies on say a 30gb bundle per month, how does this deal work for you? The unlimited off peak option is brilliant though and I could see myself going for that. But that with a 20gb bundle for an additional R300 would make a lot more sense. It's the 6pm-11pm time slot where people are going to feel the pain. Do a gig a day in the that time slot and all of a sudden you got an extra R1500 on your bill at the end of the month.

What I would do is get a second sim data package from CellC for example 100GB 12 months and use that during peak time..
Then the Rain Sim deal makes perfect sense...

Yeah, good idea.

Dual sim routers a thing?

Maybe your mistake is confusing choice as to when you would like delivery to take place with when delivery will take place?
