*READ FIRST* iBurst Billing & Customer Service Queries

Good day ladys and gentleman , Im posting this as a warning to those who may want to leave Iburst.

Ive had Iburst for the past 3 years(this account for 2) and have had no problems what so ever with the network or service in general, EXCEPT for your accounts department, who seem to like to deduct my account any time they wish and for as much as they see fit, double deductions isn't a problem and this happened A LOT the last 6 months.

So what is there to do but leave, but if you do so they will double deduct your account hold your money ransom for 7-14 business days and earn interest from it and not give that interest back to you here is what happened to me:

End of April I cancelled my iburst(8gig for R665pm on a month to month) and told them that I wanted it cancelled by the end of May, no problem there until I get the deduction today R1331 it was double what they where supposed to take, so I phoned up there "accounts" department , and spoke to the first representative, who looked on the system and noted that the cancellation did go trough but they charged me for NEXT month aswell even though I cancelled(successfully), and was in need of a refund as it was there fault and there to blame, so he then gave me the bad news, IT WILL TAKE 7-14 WORKING DAYS WTF????

Now I've got things going off my account and some things wont go off because Iburst double dipped this month, most important is my student loan that goes off every month and if I miss one the rates go up DRAMATICALLY and it has huge penalties, so I asked to speak to a Manager, he said no problem, and I waited , untill it timed out and it went back to the person and I insited to speak to a manager, the phone went back and forth for about 45mins before I gave up.

Not one to give up I tried another 8 times to get one EACH time YOUR ACCOUNTANTS WOULD JEST LET IT RING, I GOT MORE AND MORE UPSET , NO MATTER WHAT I DID THERE'S NO MANAGER, I even resorted to the extremes, to try and get one!!!

Untill I gave up , and finally phoned the accounts department and left a message for the "managers":

If within the hour I dont get a phone call from a manager I will file a dispute from Standerd bank, get my money back(R1331) and issue a post dated check for 14-30 working days for the R656 minus the phone call costs as that is what there doing to there customers, there customers might as well do it to them!!!

An hour and a half went by and no one called, so I filled out my dispute form and faxed it off to standard bank and phoned the "accounts" devision again to infrom them not to worry, got trough to a lady this time who told me "Sorry we dont have managers, only "TEAM SUPERVISORS" and they cant do much more than we can"...

WTF ARE TEAM SUPERVISORS WORTH IF THEY HAVE NO AUTHORITY?????????????

DEAR IBURST SORT THIS OUT AND HIRE SOME BL**DY MANAGERS AND FIRE THE SUPERVISORS!!!

Please forward me your contact and account details and I'll have the issue escalated.

Cos if they don't cancel, they still have your details, and you have to change your cc. I had this problem with giganews and it took me three months of fighting to get it cancelled and still no refund.

With a debit order it's easy - just cancel with bank.

Your bank will reverse the charges - part of VISA/MC rules with "Card not present" transactions is that VISA/MC can charge back. Your bank will refund your money and then the retailer has to prove that the charge is legitimate if he wants to get it back.

With great anticipation I was waiting for my debit order to go off on the 1st as per my contract. I was trying to forget the double deduction in April and the non-deduction in May and my subsequent query to Accounts which was not even responded to. Today, the 2nd and guess what - still no deduction! I just sumbitted an e-mail query to Accounts and will see if this time they can stick to their turn-around time. When, if ever, will iBurst's teething problems be sorted out? I am so "gatvol" of having to follow op every month. Maybe it is time to give this matter through to Carte-Blanche Consumer. Half the complaints on this forum as well as on HelloPeter.com are about billing issues. It is about time iBurst get a wake-up call and stop making promises and excuses and get their act together!

iBurst have already been under fire on Carte Blanch for its towers apparently causing health issues in residents close by.

Sevice at iBurst???? I went for an interview the other day for a network administrator ...the dude that interviewed me asked me one question and when i answered him briefly said that was not the way he wanted the answer to be put to him ...so i walked out of the office ...everybody thinks they know everything round there ... and yet don't know how to bloody fix the damn issues regarding poor service and poor bandwitdh ...

Iburst you took to much money

Just got my sms now about my Iburst debit order. Why was I billed R641 instead of R592? I didn't buy a bandwidth booster last month... Last time I bought a booster was in March and I was billed for that already.

Can a Iburst rep please contact me about this issue pls.

Thx

Iburst debiting my account

Well theres a big surprize after phoning i**** for a month twice a week to make sure that my account would be canceled and that the debit orders would stop and been assured by every accounts person that i spoke to that my account would not be debited at the end of the month, Guess what ............... THE ****ERS DEBITED MY ACCOUNT, THIS BETTER BE REZOLVED ON MONDAY

Who can we report Iburst to? they keep doing this and its just as good as stealing. There must be something we can do as this normally goes on for months and months with iburst and iam not prepared to have this fight every month i just want to put I**** behind me and never have think about them again

Hi Fur, please send the relevant details to the iBurst rep as per this post.

Ginggs...

The problem is, it has been escalated about 7 times now... and nothing happens... they promise that emails will pass, meetings will be held, special concessions will be made, phone calls to update on progress will be made and F-ALL happens... I'm tired of waiting, I'm tired of being nice, this matter has been handed over to my lawyers and I have instructed them to have an absolute field day with this...

Money owed to customers not paid out, should collect interest as I have been informed... and iBurst has been bumbling and F-ing around with it for 2+ months now... and since the nice and friendly approach is as effective as glaring at a tsunami, maybe my lawyers will have better effect...

It would've cost you 10 minutes on a computer and MY R592... now I hope it costs you a lot more and you can treat this as a lesson...
