*READ FIRST* iBurst Network Status & Issues (DNS, Throughput and Latency)

Mines appears to be more stable for now at least...

Is iBurst in the process of switching upstream providers?

Actually managed to speak to helpdesk now Sun8h35 for first time in 3 days. Consultant says he has received an email where support engineers say problem will be fixed today!? Performance was OK from 6h30 but started degrading after 08h00. Lets Hope!

Yeah internet is REALLY bad this morning, atm this page looks like an html file would with no style sheet at all...just text everywhere >.< Every other page doesn't load...cept facebook...that seems fine :P

I am going to demand financial compensation, this is ****ing bull****. Just about a whole week's worth of potential work lost due to iBurst being utterly useless.

Please tell me if you were successful as i want to follow the same route. I see, according to their incident report, that this should have been fixed by 2nd of Dec. What's today? Oh wait. 5th!

Mine is also still not working. Here's what makes me angry:

a) iBurst is not acknowledging that anything is wrong
b) The Network Status indicator on their website shows that JHB is 100% up and running.
c) The News/Support Section shows that they had minor degradation on 2 Dec. 2010 - that was the last update.
d) I have to drive to my office from Bryanston to Midrand to be able to do work over the entire weekend.
e) The new iBurst website gives me problems logging in 9 out of 10 times, and when I'm in, my account shows that I've used 0MB, uploaded 0MB, and that I have 0MB left on my cap... It's been like this since they "downgraded" to their new website. The only way I can get accurate usage reports is to phone their callcenter and hold for 30 minutes (and because I don't have a landline, I have to do this from my cellphone).

Please I would also like to know how we can go about getting compensated for 5/6 days worth of ***tty internet.

Hi all. First post here

I found these forums because it seems to be the only website that works other then iburst and Gmail.

At first it was only some Websites that didn't work but it looks like they have managed to stuff allot more up.

I also phoned the tech support and he couldn't explain the problem or when they were going to fix this.
I have just updated my BFBC2 with a 2.4Gb patch and have not been able to test it out for 4 DAYS because of this. I also have several other steam games that i can run because of this. What a waste.

Also considering going cell C but need the net to check my coverage.

Lets hope this gets fixed soon.

Take a look at the Cell C section first and see if your suburb is covered.

The coverage map is not always accurate, so don't waste your money until you are absolutely sure that you will get "Great Speeds".

Any more news on when this is actually going to be fixed. Some pages load, and then later don't load. The speeds are terrible.

I thought this was meant to be fixed on the 2nd.

Can iBurst give us some more information and give us a proper heads up on when things are going to be stable again.

All working fine here. Thanks Ronald for helping me out :)

Still can't work... Complete waste of time this weekend to try and get any work done.

I hate you iBurst, if I wasn't tied into a corporate contract with you this would have been the weekend where I would've gotten rid of you! But I will make absolutely sure that I tell everyone not to use your services in future.

I'm just shattered to have discovered I don't have Cell C coverage in my area  Now I have no choice, really, when my contract expires. Stuck with iBurst. Where's that rusty spoon so I can dig my wrists apart...

Wait, you're right near me! How come your'e okay but I'm still having problems?! Haven't been able to access my forum website to two days! While others don't load properly or just give me time outs...

Can you link a tracert to some sites?

We probably on different towers anyways.

I still got some local latencies issue which I am trying to sort out :(. But browsing seems ok.

Hi - I live in Durban - and well - since 2nd of December I haven't been able to log WoW (World of Warcraft), access FB, or even go to any UK sites. I've logged 2 feedback forms on iBurst to date and still no response..

Can anyone pick this up and see what the issue is? It's been a pretty long time now, would love to get some form of resolution or at the to be told whats wrong so I can understand the delay.

I think the problem is that we went with iBurst. Don`t expect feedback from them. I have submitted queries before to them without even acknowledging that they received it. Never mind a answer. This has been my response from them on two different incidents.
When iBurst works it is great , but when it breaks that's when they show how good there customer service is.:mad:

i think iBurst need Trevor Noah to become there C.E.O and then maybe we can get some feedback.
