I have taken over development of this add-on.

Just tried it in Microsoft Edge and Firefox and works fine for me. Try logging out and in again.

Still getting that error in chrome though

By default, it will now ask for playback quality.
You can change this behavior in the addon settings by setting a default quality.

I just take his latest common code and merge it in really.

Its a shame we can't fix dstv's service to not crap out on important sporting matches.
However, NZ's streaming service (Spark Sport) did as well!
