keep eyes peeled at webafrica. they will release their new pricing next week afaik. you should have asked them to match the price though, i'm sure i read somewhere one user demanded this of cybersmart and was met with a match.

Facepalmed myself this weekend. Had a problem with Axxess uncapped Sat morning and temporarily switched to WebAfrica prepaid to do banking. Forgot to switch back later on and started downloading  I have WA set to automatic renewal with SMS notification and my phone was off! 5 gigs later at R70 a pop I realised...:sick::(

Its like the perfect storm of Internet-rape!

I just got the notice from Webafrica that their trial is over and that their new network will be launched soon. Are they going to be selling us Seacom bandwidth? Makes sense if they were able to give away something like 8000 x 13GB batches. At Axxess prices that computes to around R7,3 million in revenues!

I have been a loyal Axxess customer till Afrihost jumped in with their pricing. You can only ignore the R29/GB price for so long...... And after I saw the R29/2GB special top-up I had to jump ship. Signed up for a 10gb bundle, and purchased another 10Gb for R145 (Just in time, I saw the special R29/2gb stopped yesterday). So far so good, I have been very happy with the Afrihost account.

Axxess will either have to do something about the pricing, or pray that the Afrihost/Digichilli's of the world fail quickly....

Thats not an appropriate response!! What a load of trash! Its note even structured in a professional manner, "sorry to see you go" ??? I feel its a bit too arrogant for someone who you're paying for a service!

+1

That's a very un-professional reply!
