Hi simons, thank you for this. It is not ideal todo a speed test over WiFi as could be skewed if there is interference or something killing the Wi-Fi connection. Best practice would be todo speed test via LAN cable connection.

quite bad for your 1G line
Hi electrofreeze, Please can you confirm what router you are using on your 1Gbps link?. Achieving is 1bps speeds over WiFi, depending on the router, might not be possible. Real world over WiFi, 400-500 Mbps seems to be the max achievable over WiFi . Please can you test over cable with device and cable that is capable of 1Gbps and send us the results please.
It depends how many concurrent rollouts they are doing. I went from no fibre to internet in my house in under 3 months (includes drawing up plans, getting CoCT sign off, trenching and installation).
He already stated today on this thread that he has a 100/100 line. When he mentioned Gigabit he was referring to simons' post.

not testing to any server just doing some downloading in general and browsing but i must tell you it is not a pleasure international is really pathetic i think it is time now to ask Richard from Directel or Mo from Rocketnet to phone us as we are waiting for a long time now and nothing is happening

i was logged last year already speak to Mo and Fhumu
the problem is definitely with your international upstream provider or your bandwidth
we are not the only people on rocketnet with this problem
