Router Battery Backup

That seems pretty decent. The one question mark I'd have is the spec sheet says max output is 12W, which is pretty low if correct.
It looks suspiciously like a whitelabelled Sunsynk Pocket Power station;

Ellies were selling these as well:

which they marketed under the Sunsynk brand.

It is very definitely the same thing. It even still has the sunsynk label on the provided image.

Ah yes, I see it now

So I bit the bullet and bought it...had a couple of important video calls last week and Ellies wasn't too far:

A lot smaller than I expected (still need to tidy up the cabling) -

Comes with two 1 meter DC-to-DC cables, a couple of adaptors (used one for the ONT and one for the router) and a 1 meter 2-pin charging cord at the back of the unit.
Time will tell how it holds up but so far so good.
The LEDs are super bright though.

Nice! But no dimmer?
I assume that the bright LEDs are for when it would be used outdoors.

Welcome to the thread. Not quite sure what your post is adding that hasn't been mentioned a gazillion times already though.
Looking at purchasing the Ratel 8100 but how do you guys actually charge your laptops with the Ratel 8100 as no adaptors are included for laptop charging?

I think most of our laptops have built in batteries, and the Ratels are used to power routers, fibre ONT and the like

so is the ratel not suitable to provide a quick charge to a laptop when there is no electricity to charge a laptop?
i thought that is why the 19V output is there for on this product.

If your laptop charges on 19V you should be able to make it work. Most laptops have some proprietary power connection though, so you'll need to find a suitable plug.

I know a few routers that use 19v,you'd have to check the amperage rating and if the laptop would even accept power from a generic source

guess this would not be a good buy then for charging a laptop

Possibly, you'd need to research properly first to confirm. Some brands have their own variant for their laptops too, like Dell

Your average laptop will take that 19V without a problem. Check your specs though. E.g. the Ratel 8100 can push 95W (19V at 5A), not that I have seen a laptop pull that much for basic tasks. Getting the correct plug will be your issue indeed, although personally, one can get adapter plugs, or even re-purpose a secondhand/universal laptop power brick's cable...

Hey all you knowledgeable peeps - I've exhausted my reading of this thread but quick opinion please. The office has offered to purchase our staff each a backup ONT / router solution and I've narrowed it down to either the Ellies Cube or the Ratel 860p. Is one better than the other? If not I can get the Ratel online so no need to see 3 dimensional people.

Personal preference would be for the Ratel 860P.

The Ratel is better if you're only doing DC, but the cube has the option of 240V too. I guess your use case will determine which you need. I think Communica has stock of the Ratel.
