Hopefully mine also is 'string' and go for long time. Well before I hook up solar and batteries.Under a year... that's not great at all. How long were your LS sessions?
Mine has been going string for about 18months now but we only have the 2hr slots.
That's essentially the route I've had to go...Anyone have any success with a 48V POE battery backup unit????
Or, only alternative would be to use an AC Inverter.
At a quick glance, it looks like the same thing, white labelled. Is the following a Ratel or a copy? : https://www.geewiz.co.za/ups/157359...ter-cctv-wifi-backup-with-splitter-cable.html
It has the exact same pictures as the Ratel 8100 from this link:
I wouldn't say "beefier" as it looks like it only handles 1A (12W), it will just last a long time:

I don't think so, just has a smaller batter bank. I don't think any of these mini ups's have fans. They're all silent afaik. It could be because it's not actively cooled. The Solarwise unit has a fan, right?

From the dc adapters which one fits the RT-AC68U or that range all different? This is the one I have, is basically the same as the Ratel 8100.

15600mAH Solarwize Micro UPS - Internet, Smart Device and CCTV Power Backup
Run your Router/Fiber and Smart Device for 8 hrs or CCTV for 4 hrs during Load shedding - 15600MAH Micro UPSwww.solarwizeafrica.co.za
I run my Asus RT-AC68U on the 19v output as well as two IP cameras on the 12v outputs, and it handles over 4 hours with plenty of reserve.
You will need to get a DC Power adaptor kit to get the correct plug for the back of the Asus Router. I got mine from Unshed My Load, but I see they are no longer taking orders. Not sure who sells them locally.

Bugger - that sucks. Pretty useless then as it has no ATS function then.
I was at Leroy Merlin and the guy there insisted it could charge and power devices at the same time. I'll ping Eliies.Bugger - that sucks. Pretty useless then as it has no ATS function then.
Would 19v @ 3A power it?Well, looking at the spec:
