RSAWeb Status

I logged a ticket and then all of a sudden it stopped with them asking me to do a crap load of stuff to "test" when it drops again...they didn't acknowledge an issue, yet it's gone after the ticket was logged.

Suspicious.
I also had an identical problem, on 16th Dec, 2021, also emailed them and cleared up soon afterwards, although RSAWeb did say to me they had logged with Octotel, even gave me reference number. Also in Woodstock, strangely enough, Worcester Road, Walmer Estate.

They didn't give me any info, it seemed like they wanted to look if there was an issue on my side (tried to blame my VPN, even though I clearly said it's all traffic, not just the VPN).

How much of a mission is it switching IPS’s on Fibre? Any downtime?

Depends on the FNO - which FNO are you on? Usually a relatively seamless process.
FNO? Im guessing this would be the fibre line provider? Sorry not to clued up on the acronyms Im with Octotel

Octotel is seamless. Your current ISP will place a cancellation order with a specific cancellation date. Your new ISP will place a migration order for that same date. Octotel will reach out to confirm that the migration must proceed and will provision your service on the new ISP. You then just have to plug in your new router or change your PPPOE credentials.

Some nice packet loss of 1-7% to Europe last night on RSAWeb. Not my connection, but I'll remember this lol, Cool Ideas ftw again.

Lekker packetloss and ping spikes to EU/bahrain again. Kak isp.

My connection is piss poor again today, pretty much the same as last time we had load shedding.

I'm not bothering contacting RSAWeb as they've shown to have barely any service in the past, I'll wait it out and cancel as soon as my 12 months are done.

I'll also probably wait out my 12 months and cancel. This just proves Google Reviews mean absolutely bugger-all. Best ISP se moer.

Hahaha again tonight up to 20% TWENTY PERCENT packetloss every 4 seconds to europe, 3-5% to 8.8.8.8. Out of contract so goodbye RSAWeb, you know the rule about every unhappy customer telling 10 others. Fix your piss poor kak routing.

EDIT: you can't even do live chat (blank screen when you click it), also submitting support query doesn't submit, just hangs trying to submit lol, ISP running on one cylinder.

What fibre provider you on?

Our work line is on Octotel CBD + RSAWEB business line and we never have packet loss

The fact you commented Bahrain here says your packet loss is on your fibre network not the ISP's network since the Bahrain connection is via Amazon and they carry everyone's traffic so if Amazon were at fault we all would suffer at the same time.

So either your home network is an issue or the fibre network in your area is the issue.

Well the burden falls on the ISP to report the problem and they don't respond for days and then you get some absolutely stupid response from a neanderthal after a lengthy description of the problem. Not keen to see what the cancellation process is like with support like this, probably ignore you and drag it out.

Just a disclaimer from my part i am in no way trying to defend them i was more just saying that incase you didn't know it's probably the fibre network thats causing the issue i 100% agree they should at the end of the day get everything troubleshooted and fixed correctly

Buy a lotto ticket - thats a first for them.
Yea so funny thing all the problems i have been experiencing in the past 2 to 3 years with our works business fibre line is due to them not being able to clamp the speed on their mikrotik which they provide, when they clamp the download speed to 50/50 we for some odd reason go to like 22-25 download, they a few months ago took that limit off and we have been running at 250/50 and everything has been perfect...

We have a direct line from our work building to the Octotel POP so congestion, packet loss and all that other crap your home user gets we don't get.

Moved away from that bunch and now have this. Current usage is at about 200mbs and the sdwan QoS restricts the speedtest to only available capacity. Still have the octotel link there in case of an issue when it automatically kicks in within 150ms.

Is RSAWeb down? Can't get to the internet and I see their website is also down...

EDIT: I see they are having issues. Notice is on Twitter.
