If I go to jail it better be for some badass "Linux distro" - I mean can you imagine going to jail for the "Linux distro" you downloaded for your mom?? :o

Yeah LoL,
"So what are you in for?"
"I downloaded the the Horse Whisperer."

Not something you want to admit to :D

Big ups to WebAfrica on employing vagrants.
LOL... the true look of an original IT hippie? :-)
hence the freedom of expression and internet usage?
we should all go for that look once a year at least :-)

Yeah, like an ISP will hand over clients details because of a strongly worded email without SA warrant. Imagine if those emails are just phishing attempts - the ISP would be in such crap.

WebAfrica's CTO looks awesome!

Real professional like yeah, he looks like a backpacker hippie.

Back on topic though, what a travesty it would be if authorities tried to stop us from stealing digital content. Downright infringement on basic human rights I say.

Ummm its not stealing.. its copyright infringement.. there is a very subtle difference between the two.

As for the article, do the ISPs want a pat on the back for not giving out our details?...

As to VOX Telecom saying they've not received any requests.... during which timeline?
I distinctly remember someone getting whacked with a letter from them (it was on MyBB a year or three ago).

Not 'any requests', but none of this nature at least:

Vox Telecom ... have all said that they have not received requests for the personal information of their subscribers on alleged copyright infringement grounds.

In any case I do not expect top level management to be aware of every single email they receive.

Tell those media houses they should stop discriminating against us and I'll stop pirating their movies
