One note about handtec: If you are paying with a credit card (and live outside the UK), they might ask you for further identification, such as scanned ID/whatever, which is a real pain I hear. Plus it'll delay your order a lot.

My advice is to probably just pay with PayPal if you can, and bypass any potential ID annoyance.

errr... just paid by credit card... got an email from sagepay.com saying that payment has been processed successfully... hopefully wont get any issues

Reading the site again "We have just been informed that UK stock has been delayed until week commencing 16th May 2011". That can be any day between tomorrow and whenever. I paid them a week ago and was sooo hoping for tomorrow

I placed my order on Friday, and went through the whole process of proving who I am (and left off sending them one last piece of info 5 minutes after their offices closed). I should know Monday if I'm approved. However, I have a feeling I might miss out on the next shipment. With reports of 3 million pre-orders worldwide, I'll bet their entire stock in the next shipment is already spoken for.

Also, expansys and clove are both reporting arrival dates of May 19th, so don't hold your breath for Monday, regardless of when you placed your order...

Did you get any payment confirmation from sagepay.com? If so, was it before or after you had to prove your identity?

I'd honestly email and findout, scan your documents so long and be ready to email them?

Why not paying via Paypal? Do I miss something, was under the impression it is the only safe way to import

Never used paypal before..only trust my tried and tested virgin money card in these situations. Virgin money did call me this morning to confirm that handtec tried to take the cash. They were checking for fraud lol.

Nothing from sagepay yet... I'm still waiting for the last bit of the approval.

Edit:
I just looked again at my emails and I did, in fact, receive and email from sagepay saying the order was successful. Then, after that, the inquiry started. I have also received confirmation that my card has been approved and that "this will be in stock shortly and take aroun 4-5 days to ship".

Woot!

That was my first attempt, but it failed due to me being from another country... It wouldn't let me set up a shipping address to South Africa, and I would rather jump through the "prove your identity" hoops than chance having the phone shipped to my home country.
