That was my first attempt, but it failed due to me being from another country... It wouldn't let me set up a shipping address to South Africa, and I would rather jump through the "prove your identity" hoops than chance having the phone shipped to my home country.

The main reason I'm using Paypal is their promise to refund you if something goes wrong with the shipment, and in SA it is a real worry for a package to get lost.

I agree, I would have preferred to have gone with paypal, but as a person who volunteers all over the world, there will always be these fraud flags that make life miserable in regards to online ordering. That being said, never keep a balance on paypal, they are notorious for locking accounts for the lamest of reasons...

Eish @ handtec... Now they want the authorisation code for the transaction... But virgin money say they can't give it to me, only to handtec directly. I guess that kills the point. Have emailed handtec so lets see what happens.

Also had some issues with that back when I bought my SGS. After a chat to support they just asked me to send a copy of my ID. So it wont be a big deal.

Flippen okes are adamant they want the blerry code... OR... I have an option to give a utility bill or driving license which I'll send through tomorrow. Hopefully then I'll be able to get out of this bumpy ride and into WAGs boat of calm, peace, n waiting... for stock to arrive at handtec that is!

Wonder what will be first... Sgs2 on vodacom OR dstv mobile for android...

Anyone want to venture a guess on when the Galaxy SII will be available from Vodascum ?

3-7 weeks after they receive the unit from samsung for testing. so august :( but at least it will have warrantee. and be at considerable discount...

I am sure the SA networks will receive units for testing weeks before Samsung SA receive their stock.
Samsung SA have said the phone should arrive June/July, but I would bet on July.

Ok so the Omnia HD and Samsung SGS2 were announced in Feb 2009/2011 respectively and I only managed to get the first unit (Omnia HD) to hit the shelves in September of 2009 does that mean we will receive the SGS2 in September too?

I am hoping for early July, but the demand for this phone is HIGH, so I guess September might not be so unlikely, but I hope not.
