Siyah 3.5.2 is out - http://www.gokhanmoral.com/gm/2012/07/29/siyahkernel-s2-v3-5/
Confirmed: Dual-boots CM10 (1stROM is RR 4.0.4, 2ndROM is CM10 (4.1.1 experimental build)).![]()
I gotta agree with Merc, MIUI is just customizable. And in most cases looks nothing like iOS.
I do find MIUI V4 to be quite a battery drain though, regardless of kernel used, compared with ASOP & AKOP ROMs.

Installed Resurrection Remix v3 Android 4.1.1 today.Everything is working perfectly.
Why?![]()
I am still on Resurrection Remix 1.9 which is working fine for me. Is an upgrade worth the effort?
That is an awesome theme you got there buddy! Care to share?
PS: My battery life is awesome, regardless of which Siyah kernel I use.
I mostly use WiFi for 'net access on my SGS2 but when I use 3G it is very, VERY slow. Status bar shows either E, 3G or H depending where I am but that does not seem to change the speed. The phone info shows "WCDMA preferred" and baseband is XXLPS. www.speedtest.net app gives me less than 100kbps download and not less than 500ms ping to Rosebank.
Any suggestions?
Sorry man...
Trying to get an answer in this thread that isn't related to ROMs is a futile exercise.
I actually have a similar problem - almost always on EDGE, and even when I get HSDPA or 3G there isn't a marked improvement. I blame MTN and not the phone - a friend has a SGS2 running on Virgin and he gets spectacular speeds
merc, which MIUI are you using? Official?
I am currently using Kaffee4Eck 2.7.20, but also had battery drain and heat problems with official MIUI.
Also, which modem are you currently using?
The theme is the "Echo V4.4 2nd Theme" - which can be downloaded from here, as well as others - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1632424
The clock and weather widget is UCCW - Ultimate Custom Clock Widget. Get the app from the market, then there are literally hundreds of different clocks that can be imported. Try Google, or this thread on XDA - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1387518
I'll send you the .uzip file that can be imported into UCCW if you don't find it.
