I installed NeatROM lite yesterday, works pretty well I think. Using Apex launcher Pro all the way ofcourse :P

I recently flashed KI4 modem because I was having data problems with the stock modem.

Woah this modem changed everything, even battery life. Got like 1d 7h and a screen time of 4 hours.

VK rom.....or WanamLite ..i personally use VK Rom

I've recently moved to wanamlite and have found it to be very good.
Good battery life and a few jkay mod like features!

Well thanks guys for those suggestions.
I checked them out, and everything.
I have decided to stick to my current setup, CheckROM RevoHD V6 (GB), until an official JB ROM comes out and the ROMmers get hold of it and spice it up then I will make the effort to setup my phone like I have it at the moment. My phone is setup perfectly atm and has all the features I want and looks beautiful and has the best battery out of all the roms i tried (given I've been out of the ROM game for at least 4 months now, yes checkrom is that good).

Just thought I'd put this out there :)

LPS, like KI4 is a modem that works very well in SA. I find HSDPA speeds better on LPS than KI4.
LPS is also obviously newer than KI4, but stick with whatever you find best for you.
Have you tried LPS?

I also stick to LPS ... and I think it is just because it is a new-ish modem. KI4 and KL1 are with LP the best modems in my opinion. The problem is our networks are not stable enough to really determine which modem is best. Signal, download speeds, latency, upload speeds, call quality, interferencem noise, etc arte all dependant on the network and the network can fluctuate from one second to the other. I have tested a lot of modems in the past and these three stand out based on my personal experience. KI4 and KL1 are both modems that came out in the time of GB, and LPS in the time of ICS. They are all good, but LPS is newer.

Which networks are you guys on then?

How do you flash the modem?

I recently updated to ICS 4.0.4 which caused my internet to die. A simswap temporarily fixed it but I have intermittent connection to the internet ever since.

My current baseband version is: XXLQ6.

Thanks.

Download it from here:

Reboot into CWM recovery. Choose it in the 'install zip from sd card' menu (you have to find it wherever you decided to place it on your SD card. If just downloaded it with your phone, it should be under 'downloads' on your SD card)

Then reboot your phone from CWM, and voila. Don't believe you have to wipe cache, anyone?
