The Screen res is one of the few flaws in my S2. I did change the DPI to 160 so I am maxing this screen out for every last pixel lol.
You think so? I think it's worse than the iP4, the tallness makes it look out of proportion.

Dude seriously not to sound rude but you honestly need to go see an optometrist,the pixels are highly noticeable on the s2 and thats my only major gripe with the phone,go have a look at a xperia s and see what a 4.3 inch screen should look like...its phenomenal.Pity the phone is thick.

I am on rr 3.0.6 but use real player, does not do that. I will try play and see if I can replicate your results.

Edit: I reinstalled the Walkman app, sit works fine. I wonder what on earth is the play music app's issue...

Don't forget the 2 amazing new features of iOS6, panoramic photos (my HTC Desire with MIUI and my S2 with Paranoid both do that) and that facetime now works with mobile connections as well (like skype but you can only call other apple users). Can't really fault the S2 on anything vs the iPhone 5 except the screen res but it's not something that's a trainsmash in daily use.
BT is not something I use very often (read: never).

How much on screen time do you get?
I have been swapping between dorimanx and siyah the whole time and siyah gives me better performance but, I tweaked dorimanx and you left the CPU and GPU settings as is. I was busy with my phone today for about 30 mins and it lost like 20%. I can get like between 3.5 and 4 hours and 1 d and 10 hours max battery life with siyah.

Try tango if you want to use video calls, uses less data than Skype and can do voip and im. Nice little app.

I am on dorimanx 5.78 now, and it is supposed to be the most battery friendy so far, but I flashed it an hour ago so I can't confirm.
On 5.77 I got 5h5min and 1d2h when it was 1%. Took these screen shots @ 50%.

Hahahahahahaha LOL.
The iPad is good IMO (I have a love and hate relationship with it, and I'm an Android dude) but the iPhone 5 does not compare well IMO
There are apps in the store that do it for you - but watch out. The Phone app has keeled over for me at 160dpi, and you will probably need a custom launcher (Apex or Nova, or GO for GB) to take advantage of the extra space. It does make a difference though.
I need to see what works for me again. 180 is a nice middle ground too.

I bought a galaxy S2 from 8ta last sunday, to which I have been having endless problems with my reception.My previous phone had been a motorola defy which i had rooted etc. without any issue with my connection.
The problem with the S2(on vodacom) is that it takes about 40 sec just to load a page, even in opera mini with images turned off. The previous phone's reception was on avarage 71dbm to which the S2 is 89dbm in the same spot. I'm suspecting that this is the cause of the problem why the data is acting slowly.
I have rooted the phone with cm9 siyah etc and tried just about every modem i could get my hands on including LPS, KH3, KI etc.
This problem had also been present on the stock Gingerbread firmware.
I have also tried a sim swap with no luck.
To describe the problem it's almost as if the phone takes 40 sec odd or until screen dims to actually show that the connection is doing anything lest actually load the page. Voice and sms is not effected by this problem only data.
Is this a normal thing on the S2? What are your experiences and dbm in comparison? It makes browsing the net unbearable.
Perhaps I should swap the phone within the 7 day store guarantee?
Your thoughts would be mostly appreciated.
Is there anyway to manually tweak the reception settings? I have tried the Ril aligned modems on xda

I would say revert the phone back to stock and get it replaced while you have that option. My S2 is very fast and loads pages in seconds.
