The latest CM10 nightlies are really smooth, equally so over a period of usage! Really impressed! it took a really discernable jump in performance.

Not really, it is really easy, there is a themes folder and you can do things on there like change your icons, drawer, etc or just take one theme and use everything that comes with it.

I am using cMIUI, but ICS that is CM9. I had A1exandra cMIUI but I came back to CM9 based because the CM10 based one has too many issues. ICS gives me a better battery life too.
 
Dear all, I AM STRESSING!

My GS2 does not want to charge. I think what happened is, that a bit of coffee spilt in my cars cupholder, and upon returning to the car I forgot about it and put my precious phone there, and a little bit of coffee must have entered the micro usb / charging port.

Any advice please?

Try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1856180 also use an alcohol swab and a needle and try to clean all the contact points
 
And I'd like to add that my quadrant score has gone from 3050 to 3850. Default settings. Thumbs up.
 
lol, just checked for fun. Got 4464 on performance profile, and DAYUM it is smooth!!! I am going to run it like this to check how battery drain is on performance.
 
Since the S3 mini's display resolution is the same as the S2, I'm sure we'll get the official S3 mini ROM soon for the S2?

Then we all have a Samsung Galaxy S3 mini+. :D
 
Tried CM10 today, really nice except I hate the contacts app, samsung's one is much better and CM doesn't read exFAT only FAT32. I'm finding it really hard to find an ICS ROM (stock android look) but with some of Sammy's apps. Any good ones out there? Most seem to be semi finished and then the developer switches over to jellybean and it's left half finished
 
I also miss some of the samsung contacts features, but atleast AOKP is very effecient and smooth. Try aliance ROM.

On a side note, anyone finding that more and more apps seem to be incompatible with an S2? Does it have something to do perhaps with the ROM i'm on?

For instance can any of you install this Skymotion app from the store?

Haven't noticed that, but that app is meant for USA and Canada, maybe it was only developed for the US and Canadian variants of the S2 and not the international version?
 
Guys, the best contacts and dailer app by far is exDailer, and its free. It has some very nice features including swipe left to message and right to phone like the S3. Check it out, its worth it.

+1 Been using it for a while now. Really quick and easy to use.

Any Samsung Android phone running Touchwiz has got that feature. ;)
