A bit of a late reply...

I wanted to get me one of those leather "slip in" pouches, but sadly there were none available here in Potch, so I ended up getting this "cheap" alternative. So far I'm happy with it, it is not high quality but will serve me well until I find the pouch I'm looking for.

Something else, these "slip in" pouches are really not a good way to protect your phone. If it can slip in, it can also slip out. :p

Colleague at work had one, and his Galaxy S3 "slipped out" of the pouch, and landed face first on the floor.

Needless to say, the whole screen was buggered. R1900 later....

Rather get a proper case for your S2, pouches just suck donkey balls.

Almost don't feel it, and it as grippy.
 
Could someone shed some light on the new whole "mali driver" story for me please? As i understand it fixes the memory leak issue in the jellybean builds? But is it just kernel related or kernel and ROM? I see Dorimanx has added support for it in the new kernel but which ROMs (if indeed it's ROM related too) support this?

SuperNexus Build 4 have the new drivers. I am on stock kernel so can help you with kernel or Rom

The Linux version of the Mali GPUs DDKs include three components which run within the kernel. The most important of these, known as the Device Driver, provides the low-level access to the Mali-200 or Mali-400 GPU. An important, secondary component is the Unified Memory Provider (UMP) which can be used in a variety of ways to facilitate zero-copy operations within the driver stack. An additional component, the Mali Direct Rendering Manager (DRM), is provided to integrate the Mali DDKs into the X11 environment and for enabling the Direct Rendering Interface (DRI2).

One more question.. does the cover have a slight lip on the front screen. ie so that if the phone is put face down it rests on the cover not the screen?

They say rubber corners so i recon so. The one i have is like that .. Slightly raised in front

the latest CM10 nightly and the unofficial Aokp JB rom of Pieras both of them have 'Mali driver' included
 
Next question: is this supposed to be the "unofficial" AOKP build by piere and bajee? Because it says "Official" in the titel :P
