You only need to see it once. I prefer choosing every time, because it's annoying when your finger slip and a (unwanted) link open in the browser. Just a quick "return" to get to previous page.
 
What would you guys pay for a 2 year old GS2. R1500 to R2000 too much?
 
Imo R1500-R2000 too little. Anything under R2500.00 is a steal, me thinks

What other Jellybean dual core phone with 1GB RAM & 8MP can you buy for that price?

I see they are still selling the Galaxy Ace for R2099! :eek:

My phone is gone!!!! Stolen :( Claiming from insurance, so will probably be getting a new SGS2 sometime soon, since cell c still has them. But I'll be getting it same time as my upgrade, so considering selling the SGS2 when I get it. Lemme know if anyone is interested
 
have you guys noticed a considerable slow down using JB?
My battery is being killed a lot quicker, and I am experiencing lag that I never did before
 
Hi all, I am using the Omega v21 ROM here, and I must say it's pretty awesome!

The video recorder would kinda freeze when you stopped recording in v20, but it's been fixed now.

All in all, it seems very smooth, no lagging, even in multi window, with 2 windows + popup video player!

Only thing that sucks is battery life, but maybe that's just some settings I must disable somewhere.

They will probably give you the "facelift" S2. If I were you, I would ask them to rather get the cash to purchase your new phone with your upgrade.

Significantly more than that ;) If nobody offers me a decent price I'll keep it as a backup. But I've seen a lot of guys selling them second hand for 2.5k to 3k, so I'd be looking for more than that if I sell it.

Facelift s2?
Tks for the advice but my insurance is with Cell C's C-cover, so I'm not sure if that's an option, but I'll certainly try my luck, as I'll be getting the s4 next month probably.

I call it a facelift - they are S2's with different hardware to the original ones. See the comparrison. Some say it is lesser spec in the SGS2 Plus (i9105).

But even on Cell-C - ask them if they can rather use the "payout" to fund the upgrade phone. It's worth a try!

JellyBean does offer a whole lot of new things, so you'll have to see what you actually need.

For instance, I don't use Motion at all and therefor has switched it off.
I know the Face Tag feature in Gallery caused my Test ROM to lag, but I just switched it off the day I installed the official Spanish ROM.
Smartstay is a fantastic feature, but if you don't use it, disable it.
And the GPS is on by default, disable it if you don't use your GPS very often & just switch on when needed.

I suspect the lag on your phone is caused by an app - it's always poorly coded apps that screws up a phone's performance.....or a very slow SD card.
