have you guys noticed a considerable slow down using JB?
My battery is being killed a lot quicker, and I am experiencing lag that I never did before

Didn't really notice any slowness, but definitely battery drain. Do you use wifi often or you mainly on 3g networks?

My phone is gone!!!! Stolen :( Claiming from insurance, so will probably be getting a new SGS2 sometime soon, since cell c still has them. But I'll be getting it same time as my upgrade, so considering selling the SGS2 when I get it. Lemme know if anyone is interested

That's not what cellc told me? I was told its been discontinued??

It's gonna be so worth it & because you're worth it. :p

No, seriously, like okleinekoning said, you're in for a treat. Enjoy!

Ha Ha Will check in again after i get them DL'ed

Before firing up Odin, make sure Kies is either uninstalled or killed via task manager.

Tx. Guys !

Okay so I changed the GPS.conf to use the Africa NTP. Still GPS does not lock. If I'm lucky it will take between 5 - 10 minutes to lock. I've tried everything and it only works properly on the leaked JB ROM. Any ideas?

I can only think there's too much legacy stuff on your file systems thats interfering. Probably best to do a full wipe (actually nuke) of all and start from scratch with a new ROM (Slim or other).

For reference I'm on CM10.1 (latest nightly) which uses the same JB 4.2.2 base, and get GPS lock in under 10 sec outdoors (12 satellites found & used).

Just got my "new" S2 today. Awesome phone, not so awesome 4.0.3. Is this a good option:

[Stock Official Firmwares] I9100XWLSN (4.1.2) - Nordic Countries (NEE) [01-04-13]
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=23562820

It is my understanding that it will work on all international unlocked I9100 versions. Or is XWLSD a better choice?

Go for the Spain ROM, works 150% with the Vodacom network.

Have not tried Nordic Countries.

Also decided to do Nordic, simply because it's newer. Excellent.

With my 512MB, 850Mhz CPU and TFT capacitive touchscreen 256K on 4.0.4 (upgradeable to 4.1.2) Samsung Chat, the SGS2 on 4.0.3 did not impress. Now it's perfect.

It's not always newer.

The latest firmware is for Mexico & it's got exactly the same PDA version as Argentina, which is a much older one.

Is that how it work, thanks.

I checked a few Youtube videos, Googled guides and version differences. Then ran simulations (up to the point just before hitting Start in Odin, then cancel) and then read up some more before actually doing it.

2 days of build-up for 6 minutes of ROM flashing. :D

And now you can get Mobile Odin Pro and almost never touch your PC again for any flashing :D

Interesting...

And they took care of the first things that popped in my head - in the description: "Flashing with Mobile ODIN does NOT increase your custom kernel flash counter or make the yellow warning triangle appear."

Edit: I just remembered USB debugging was off whilst flashing. Is that only a requirement with custom ROMs?
