What's your reception report like when you tap on the battery display?
Wakelocks?

Otherwise try a stable release and/or Slimbean 4.3 build 1 (stable) - if it's still bad I'd look at a battery replacement.

Other than that, my contract is only up for renewal in March 2014, anyone know if it's possible to pay off the last 5 months in one go to get an earlier upgrade? If not I'll consider getting the extended battery.

A tad pricey I'll admit. Hope its worth it.

Edit: A head's up. Orange store probably has the longest shipping duration in history. I waited almost one and half months. But that's probably because they didn't have stock.

Damn, I'm really contemplating getting one. This phone is going to get passed down the family when I'm done with it, might be a good idea to get it now.
 
Just ordered one from them too now. It seems to be the only place to get it at a reasonable price and that have stock.
 
The S4 wallpaper does not look too shabby on my S2, now I must just find a fully transparent weather widget. :)
