upgrade due next month and i wanted to put my name down on a pre-order list at MTN this weekend. even though he knew full well what phone i was talking about the store clerk told me "we have not confirmed whether we will stock the phone, you can put your name up for the sensation". i doubt this guy knows what he's talking about...

any similar experiences out there?

i popped in to vodashop canal walk on saturday and even though they didn't have an arrival date for me, i was happy to see that my name was still on the pre-order list and that things were looking organised :)

You have to log in. If you click on the link from the email it doesn't log you in automatically. Click on the link within the thread. That worked for me.

aaah. thanks. my screen is zoomed in quite far (lying is bed still), so i didn't see the top right corner "login"
 
R349 for 100 mins and no data... could become very expensive very quick!
 
So sick of phoning phone shops that don't know anything and aren't helpful to get quotes, even when I phone for the Galaxy S1 prices, the prices change if I phone Vodacom in one shopping centre vs another Vodacom shop just up the road.. wtf.

as i understand it, there are different vodacom shops. different stores are owned by different people, and each store often has its own specials.

Really? I thought all the Vodacom shops were owned and operated by Vodacom. I don't mean the CelluCity/other-named shops.. always figured Vodacom* was vodacom's own.

there are definitely different specials in vodashop tygervalley and vodashop canal walk. then there are the vodacom data stores...
 
great to see that most service providers can give you an answer. the only provider left now is mtn who seem to be clueless about this phone. i am already due for an upgrade and have been waiting for them to get the phone, but as usual no one from there can help.......sigh
